Yuuri nervously sat at his kitchen table, his hand raised to his mouth as he slowly chewed on finger nail.
Stop being so anxious.
"Yuuri! I'm home!" Viktor's voice could be heard all through out the resort as he came bustling through the lobby. Yuuri let his hand drop as a smile painted itself on his face upon seeing Viktor so happily carrying a bag of groceries. "I found it!" He said digging through the noisy, plastic bag.
Noisy.
Viktor pulled out two small containers and placed them onto the table. "These are the ones that have tiny spoons right?" Viktor excitedly asked. Yuuri laughed and nodded.
"Yes they come with tiny spoons. Now sit down, your the one who wanted to try milk pudding so bad." Viktor immediately took a seat and slid Yuuri's own cup to him before peeling the lid off his.
Yuuri wasn't paying as much attention to the pudding as Viktor was, he was in fact distracted BY Viktor, who was possibly the only person in the world who could find this much enjoyment in pudding.
Yuuri had finished his pudding, but Viktor seemed to be taking his time. Yuuri got up from the table, took the cup to the trash, tossing it in. "Hey Vitya? I'm going to go check the hot springs and make sure that everything is clean."
"Yuuri, we're opening in two weeks, you don't have to keep checking to make sure it's clean."
"Excuse me, but I will not have mold start to grow while we are not paying attention." Yuuri walked out of the kitchen and down the hall to the men's hot spring. He peaked around the changing area, the shower area and indoor bath, and finally to the outdoor bath. The water seemed to ripple beneath its own steam and with a sweep of the room Yuuri felt nostalgic.
It looked just as he'd remembered, with the exception of the frog fountain running. Yuuri stepped carefully around the bath taking his time to inspect everything. When he finished his circle he smiled at the water in content. In just two weeks this place would be open; their place.
Suddenly the water he was looking at began to bubble, Yuuri jumped back, startled. The bubbles continued and Yuuri leaned in to see if it was a fountain pipe that had busted, but felt his eyes widen when the bubbles began to turn black along with the water surrounding. The black substance began to spread through the bath and Yuuri stuck his hand in desperately trying to find the source. When he couldn't find anything he pulled his arm, but it seemed to be stuck in the black substance that was much thicker than it looked.
"No no no." Yuuri yanked his arm, fear spreading through his body; it felt like a weight was being pressed on his chest. He looked up in horror as the spring seemed to decay right before his eyes. The rocks were cracking, the fountain was being swallowed by the black liquid that poured from it, the mask on the wall behind him seemed to be crying the black ooze from the spring.
His head became fuzzy as nothing but awful thoughts flooded it. He felt his arm sinking in more and he let out a scream, the black liquid was now up to his shoulder. The closer his face got to it the more weight seemed to press on his chest. Tears were rapidly falling down his face as his pulls became weak. The darkness got closer and closer until Yuuri suddenly felt his body be inclosed with warmth. He blinked and saw not darkness in front of him, but silver; silver hair to be exact. Viktor was kneeling in front of him, both arms wrapped around him tightly as if he feared letting go; as if he couldn't let go. He noticed next that he wasn't on the edge of the outdoor bath but in fact on both knees a couple feet away, his hand out as if to grab something that was there, but isn't now.
"Yuuri... it's ok Yuuri... I'm here... it's ok..." Viktor's voice wavered with sadness, his tears wetting Yuuri's thin shirt.
"Vi-ktor..." Yuuri murmured and Viktor's head shot up, eyes red and filling with tears. A large, shaken breath escaped him and he shook slightly.
"Thank god... oh thank god..." Viktor's state brought more tears to Yuuri's eyes and he began sobbing. Viktor pulled him into his arms and held him so close that not even air could pass between them. Yuuri had had episodes like this, but this one had felt much different and Viktor could tell.

Vitya... I love you so... so much...

Yuuri snuggled into Viktor's arms as they sat in bed, not talking or doing anything in particular, just sitting there. It wasn't anything new for them, they often just liked to sit or lay in bed, bodies close and comfortable, an unexplained fear hanging over them; a fear to get up or move.
The room was dark and Yuuri didn't try to make out anything in the room, the darkness covering his eyes filled him with peace. Viktor suddenly tightened his arms around Yuuri and Yuuri looked up at him, this wasn't anything new either. Often Viktor would suddenly tighten his grip on Yuuri or would grab his hand roughly. Yuuri couldn't see what Viktor could or know what he was thinking, but he could figure what it was. Yuuri wasn't the only one who was suffering.
