I screamed as someone grabbed my arm. I was so engrossed with watching Garret run across the clearing that I had forgotten about the other men around me. I looked down toward the hand and started flailing my arms.

I was freezing, for I was only in my bra. I had forgotten to grab my sweat shirt and was now paying the price. I heard my teeth chattering as I screamed again.

I heard a barking noise as another person grabbed my hand and tried to pull me away from the fight. I turn and see Garret flying toward me. I couldn't help but to feel relieved.

Garret howls and then his teeth meet flesh. He bites into the man holding my arm. The man screams in pain and releases me. Garret stands in front of me and growls, daring anyone to approach him and me.

Garret made me feel safe, but I had just seen what a werewolf could do when angry and had experienced those claws digging into me. I didn't know if I could ever love a monster like that.

He would never love me either… especially if he found out I wasn't a virgin. What man could love me? I had been spoiled by some man's selfish needs. He had taken everything away that night. That was all it took, one night to lose everything you ever cared about. How could I love or be loved?

Before long I found myself crying and shaking from the cold. I had fallen forward to my knees and the snow was all around me. Garret moved back and wrapped himself around me, offering me his warmth.

This act of kindness made me cry harder. I could not love him, or let him think I loved him. I would not make him suffer because of his spoiled wife. He would have to find someone else.

Garret's tail flicked out and wrapped around my arm, pulling me with him as we headed back toward his tent. We had just arrived when two wolves ran toward us, barking and howling.

Garret turned with lightning speed and changed into his human form. He was standing there naked, in below freezing weather and didn't even get a goose bump; him and his werewolf abilities. I sneezed and went inside the tent, keeping my eyes adverted from Garret's nakedness.

I wiped my eyes, willing myself to stop all this crying and pulled on my sweat shirt over the bandages. Luckily, none of the bandages had reopened. I sat on the bed and waited for Garret to come back in; he didn't.

I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I know someone is prodding me in the side with a wet nose. I open my eyes and look around. I gasp as I see a beautiful red wolf standing beside me. It looked like a girl and was a beautiful thing.

The wolf barked and playfully wagged its tail. It almost acted like a dog instead of a wolf. "Hi there." I say, feeling stupid for talking to her when I knew she couldn't talk back.

The wolf barked then moved back. I watched as the wolf began its transformation. Before long, a beautiful girl was standing before me with long red hair and a muscular body.

Paige's POV

After hearing more rumors about Garret and his mysterious new guests, I talked Russell into stopping by. I hadn't spoken to Garret since that night I left to go back to Russell. He seemed to understand that I was in love with someone else. I had only hoped he would find his special someone.

One the way here we had caught sight of two of Garret's wolves on patrol. Before we could state our business they were off to warn Garret of a possible intrusion. It was annoying at times, but understandable.

How long do you think it will take them to come back for us? I asked Russell in my mind. He laughed before nudging me with his flank.

It won't be long. He said. While we wait, why not play? He asked. He was always so playful. It wouldn't' be long before Garret would get here, but I didn't want to play. I actually did, but made it seem like I didn't. Russell grew tired of me just sitting there and started to walk off. I took my chance.
