Bridget's POV

I heard Brett's growl behind me, but he wasn't getting any closer. I was scared to say the least. This man in front of me was saying things that weren't true. He said that I poisoned the water, yet I did nothing of the sort.

"All I did was look for food. I did none of these things that you are accusing me of," I muttered, knowing it was hopeless. I was without a savior, for Brett was being held down by several men. He had changed into his wolf form as soon as I got hit for the third time. My face was going to have a hand print on it, I knew that for sure.

The fire light hit the side of my face and let everyone see it. I knew that everyone was glaring at me, but I couldn't understand why. Couldn't they see that this man was lying?

I tried to smell it on him, yet he smelled like he was telling the truth. I had no clue as to how this was like that. I wasn't lying, yet no one was sniffing to see if it was true. They all believed that whatever this man in front of me said, was truth. It was disgusting how they did whatever he told them too.

I looked around as he addressed the crowd, trying to find a friendly face. I saw one that looked right at me. It was the girl from earlier that had put a beating on me. She had hurt Brett and I tried to stop her, but she beat me. My pride was still wounded, but I would put that behind me if I could get her help.

Help. I mouthed to her. She shook her head and shrugged. I guessed she was saying there wasn't anything for her to do. Then I remembered what Amos had said. If he didn't win, then his sister would take over. This girl was his sister.

"You have no right to condemn me. You are not the alpha of this pack. That girl over there has more command than you and therefore I will only answer to her," I snapped at the man above me. I was on my knees, being held by two men. I smirked at the anger that I felt from him.

"You will not speak to me like that. I can do anything I want to you and get away with it," he whispered in my ear. He pulled back and looked over at Lily. She glanced around to find all the people staring at her and stepped forward. I could tell that she was nervous and had possibly never done this before.

"I give Derrick permission to continue with this, but to make sure that death does not befall her. I want to find out exactly what happened to my brother and that person will be in some serious trouble. If that person steps forward now, then we will stop this interrogation. If no one does, then we will continue." She looked around. I hoped someone would step forward, because I knew I wasn't guilty of this crime they were accusing me of.

"Thank you, I shall continue," he said, turning back to face me. I saw the cruel intentions in his eyes and soon felt the men standing over me pull me up. He nodded at them and I was drug across the clearing toward one of the cabins.

I screamed for Brett. "Brett, help me!" I heard him fighting the men behind me, but I wasn't sure if he would make it in time. I turned to seek out Lily, but she was gone also. I was utterly alone in this, I thought as the door to the cabin shut behind me.

Lily's POV

I walked away from the crowd of people. I knew that giving Derrick control of that poor girl could be a mistake, but I wanted to know what happened to my brother. Derrick claimed that he saw her, but I was having a few doubts.

My thoughts went immediately to Hannah. Why hadn't she showed up yet? Was she ok? Garret seemed edgy and I wondered why. He could have possibly poisoned Amos, but I hadn't seen him anywhere near the well or water sources. I was beginning to doubt even my own judgment.

I pushed open the door to the doctor's cabin. "Hey Licorice, how's my brother?" I asked. Cori, as we sometimes called her, looked up at me and got a grave look on her face.
