Epilogue

Garret's POV

It had been two years since I had mated with Hannah. A few days after we mated, I ran Anthony out of our camp, almost going as far as to run him out of the country. I did stop though once I got about a hundred miles away. My beta, Harry, had helped me, along with Larry, and Brett.

Hannah had tried to talk me into having mercy on him, but I just couldn't allow him to stay. That was the second time he had done something like that, but with Paige it wasn't that extreme. Russell had asked to help, but I had told him it was a pack thing. He understood.

The thing with asking Paige to talk to her father about the wolves coming in once a week to meet the females actually worked out. After she talked to him she came to talk to me.

"My father said that every Saturday, you are permitted to send ten males, some from each pack, to see if their true mates are found in the females around the castle. He has talked to all the females, and all are willing. After hearing my story and Hannah's story, they want to experience the love of a werewolf. Most of the males are still hostile, but my father assured us that if any attacked you, you were allowed to fight back. He just asks that you not kill them if you don't have to," she said to me.

I had gone straight to my beta and we called a meeting with all the alphas. Ash came, though he didn't want to leave his new litter of pups. Annabelle was supplying her pack with plenty of babies, though this time it was two females. It seemed it was a time of change since in the older days of werewolf times, there weren't many females born.

Russell came after I told Paige to talk to him and tell him about it. I recommended that they bring their betas too. They all showed up three days later and we began discussing it.

We all agreed that three of our pack members would go with us, and then one pack each time would have one more than the other. We also said that we would have a truce and that none of the men would fight amongst themselves. I thought it was a good agreement, and all the alpha females agreed once we alphas talked to them.

Hannah thought it was wonderful, especially if one of her friends found love. She said it would be funnier to see some of the ladies high in the society to find a mate in a werewolf. She almost laughed out loud at that thought.

This all happened over a year ago. Now we had almost every male in the packs a true mate; though some took mates that weren't their true mates. Mostly the men that did this, were older men in their last stages of life. Paige's father had stayed true to his word. We almost didn't even need to go to the castle anymore since most of our men had mates.

We had ten pups in our pack that were growing bigger each day. Russell's pack had fifteen pups, while Ash's had nineteen, going on twenty once Annabelle had her third litter. Paige had another pup after her last one and named her Teresa.

We didn't hear from Reese until he brought us the good news that Lily was pregnant and that he was going to be a dad. After that we spoke more, but I sometimes found myself missing my old beta. I wasn't saying that Harry was a bad beta, but Reese and I had been together for ages and I missed the fellow.

Hannah and I, so far have not had a litter. We talked about it and both agree that if we can't have kids, that we will take in the pups that lose their parents. Timmy was basically a son to us, since Brett and Bridget had another pup of their own. They named their pup, Mason. He was a cute little thing and Hannah adored being an aunt. I just wish that we could have a pup of our own.

Two years was a long time, and a lot of things had changed. We were at peace with the humans, people were joining the packs left and right, and soon we would have almost more werewolves than humans. People were finding their true mates more often, and many mothers were having girl werewolves instead of all of them having boys.

I'm not complaining about it, though I think if we keep having so many girls, that our pack might grow weak.

"Ouch!" I said as Hannah hit me on the shoulder. She was listening to my thoughts, a thing we figured out we could do the day after we officially mated.

"Girl's are not weak, darling," she said with an evil glint in her eye. She crouched down, readying herself for an attack. I watched with mirth in my eyes as she looked like a cat instead of a wolf. She leaped into the air, tackling me to the ground. I would admit that she took me by surprise. I was too busy with my thoughts to pay attention to her movements.

"You, my dear, just proved that women can only beat me by distracting them," I said, knowing I was digging a hole, one I might not get out of...

"How dare you," she yelled, though I could tell she was going to play along. We did this a lot.

"No, how dare you for teasing me with your body and being so irresistible," I replied to her. I pulled her down or a kiss, but she moved her head at the last second.

"Admit that I can beat you without distracting you and I'll give you a kiss," she bargained. I laughed at her and tried to kiss her again. She still resisted me. I knew that in order for me to get a kiss, I would have to give in to her wants, which was what she knew I would do in the first place.

"Fine, you win... I can only beat you by you distracting me," I said. Before she could register what exactly I had said, I pulled her down for a kiss. This time she didn't have time to resist me.

"That's cheating!" she says after she pulls away. I laugh and kiss her nose.

"All's fair in love and war, my darling," I say. Our laughter can be heard from all the closest neighbors, letting our pack know that we are happily mated and no one can change that.

Sometimes when Hannah and I disagreed on things we fought and got really loud. We had even moved our tent to the edge of the forest farthest away from the camp. We didn't like eaves droppers and liked the privacy it held for us.
