Yn's POV:

It was 5:30. I got ready to go to Jayla's party. l slipped on my heels, took one last glance in the mirror, grabbed my keys, and headed out the door. Her house was located in Beverly Hills of course. A guard at the front gates led me to a grass area full of cars. I scoffed. She would have her own lot.

I walked through the front gates and my eyeballs literally almost rolled out of my head. This girl's house.....this girl's house looked like something off of a movie. Her house was like 5 stories and it was as wide as at least 4 normal sized houses. I have no words.

I walked in and I saw the dance floor room, which was incredible. She spotted me immediately.

"Hi Yn, so glad you could make it," she said smiling, "These are my friends Lacy, Emily, Malena, and Stefan."

Her friends were all pretty and Stefan was very good looking. Lacy was a pretty platinum blonde girl with cappuccino colored skin, a bull nose piercing, dark eyes, and tattoos. She wore a lace crop top, maroon skater skirt, and lace sandal wedges. I remembered her from the dance competition.

Emily was a chestnut brown haired brunette with long thin legs and curvy hips. I think she's on the cheer squad with me. She wore a floral long sleeved crop top, jeans shorts, sachaa pink heels, and she had pretty pinkish purple makeup.

Malena had brown hair and brown eyes that were blue on the edges. She was wearing a white and red crop top hoodie that said Dimepiece, some cool black pants, white air Jordan 6's, a snapback that said 'bitches know', red blush and lipstick, and smoky eyeshadow. She seemed like she'd be a cool person to know and also a bad person to mess with.

Stefan was Hispanic and he had cute dimples. He was wearing a black hoodie that said hit in red letters, black skinny jeans, black vans, and a red, grey, and black Aztec beanie. I remember him from the dance competition too. I'm pretty sure he's dating Lacy.

And then Jayla of course, was wearing a denim tie front crop top, ripped daisy dukes, and fringe cow girl boots. With the way her boobs were exposed, I didn't feel bad anymore. I like her hair though. Her hair was straightened and it was black with chestnut tips.

'Turn down for what' came on and we headed to the dance floor.

BALL AND OUT LET THE BODY SHOTS!

BALL AND OUT LET THE BODY SHOTS!

TURN DOWN FOR WHAT?!

We went crazy. We were doing the sprinkler, the pop and lock, the hammer time, the worm, everything. Why? Because there was no reason to turn down. Turn down for what?!?!

We were trying to calm down for a minute so we walked downstairs the bar. I got a bay breeze and the others got mai tai's. I took a couple shots of some other stuff while we chatted. The song 'Drunk in Love' by Beyoncé came on.

A few people were dancing on the bar.

"Well that looks fun," Malena commented.

"Yeah, we should do that," I agreed.

We kicked off our heels and climbed onto the bar.

I'VE BEEN DRINKING, I'VE BEEN DRINKING. I GET FILTHY WHEN THAT LIQUOR GETS INTO ME. I'VE BEEN THINKING, I'VE BEEN THINKING. WHY CAN'T I KEEP MY FINGERS OFF YOU?BABY I WANT YOU, NANA

We moved our hips along to the beat. Our skin was glistening with sweat.

LAST THING I REMEMBER IS OUR BEAUTIFUL BODIES GRINDING UP IN THAT CLUB. DRUNK IN LOVE, WE BE ALL NIGHT.

When the song ended, we got down and sat on the sofas. People were walking around with drinks in their hands, laughing, dancing, and just having a good time.

"As hard as it is for me to admit, y'all are really cool," I said to Jayla.

"Thanks," she said,"I try."

"Honestly, I thought this was a trick, but I see now that it isn't."

"I'm putting everything that happened in the past behind me," she said.

"If all your parties are like this, you should invite me more often."

"Anytime. You're a good person to have at a party."

"Same goes for you," I told her. "So what else is up with you?"

"We have a gig at the Spring festival tomorrow."

"Us too! I guess I'll be seeing you then."

"Yep," she smiled, popping the P. Then she got up to go talk to some other guests.

"I like your hair," I told Lacy.

"Thanks. I like your nails."

I glanced down at my ice cream cone nails.

"Are you guys from around here?" I asked them, over the music

"Yes..and no," Malena replied.

"We spent our high school years in New Orleans, but I grew up here, and she's from Chicago," Lacy explained. "And you?"

"I moved to San Fransico when I was nine, but other than that, yeah."

"That's nice."

Eventually Lacy went to go hang out with Stefan, but Malena stayed.

"You know, I wasn't born into wealth like this. In fact, I'm still not like Jayla," Malena said.

"Me neither. I'm part of a normal middle-class family."

"I don't think you understand. I came from the projects. I've seen everything and anything. You're in that gang, the Hiker girls, right?"

"Actually it's...(gco)"

"Listen, I just want you to know, never trust anyone. Not fully. Trust can kill. The people who hurt you the most are the ones who swear they never will. I'd know."

"Thanks," I said,"But just so you know, I know too."

"You may not see it, but I do. You act really tough, but I can see it. You're hiding something. I can always tell. Be careful.

So she's smart. And cool just like I figured. But what is she trying to say?

"Listen, you don't know me. I'm not hiding anything. "

"Fine," she said, but I could tell she didn't believe me. She changed the subject."So you dance?"

"Yep, currently seeking that as a minor."

"That's cool. Dance is fun, but I really want to be a psychologist or a therapist.

" Okay. Good luck. You seem good for that," I told her.

We talked for a few for minutes before I checked my phone. It was getting late, I needed to go.

"I had a great time!" I shouted as I hugged them all goodbye.

"Great party, Jayla!"

I left the party.

Maybe. Just Maybe...We could be friends.
