Jay arrived at the hospital just five minutes behind the ambulance. The rest of the unit were still on their way.
He ran into the ED and looked around frantically for Erin. He couldn't see her anywhere but he saw Maggie and shouted "Where's Erin?" "She's already in surgery, their trying to remove the bullet now," she replied patting him on the back, "now have a seat, while you wait."

The rest of the unit arrived ten minutes later, they came in and sat with Jay. "She's going to be fine," Atwater tried to reassure Jay. But Jay wouldn't stop worrying until he knew Erin was out of surgery.

He must have dozed off at some point because he awoke to Will shaking him, "Erin's out of surgery," Jay sighed with relief. "There was a few complications but everything ended up fine, I'll tell you when she wakes up," said Will and walked over to Natalie to discuss a patient.

Erin felt her leg throbbing. She forced her eyes open and looked around. She was at the hospital, then she looked down at her right leg and saw it had a bandage just above the knee. Natalie came into the room, "How are you feeling Erin?" "My leg is sore and the lights in here are very bright, by the way," she replied. "So the surgery was successful, we removed the bullet from your leg but it was difficult due to the baby.."

"The baby...what baby?" Erin asked confused. "Well, congratulations Erin, you are almost two months pregnant!"
"What? Are you serious?" "Yes, well you clearly didn't know so I'm going to give you a minute," said Natalie as she walked away. "Ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod.." Erin was freaking out.

Will led the unit to Erin's room. She was staring into space with her arms wrapped protectively over her stomach.
She jumped when she heard the door open and plastered a smile on her face. "Hey guys," she waved. Everybody in the unit crammed through the door and into the room. "How are you feeling?" Voight asked her.  "You know, a little groggy and my leg is pretty sore," she answered. "Yeah, it's bound to be sore for a while," Ruzek commented. April came in, "Okay guys, there are too many people in here, so I'm going to need everybody to wait in the corridor," she shooed everyone outside but Erin called after Jay, "Jay can you come here." April let Jay through and closed the door on the rest of the unit.

"How are you doing," Jay asked hesitantly as he stood awkwardly by the bed. "I'm okay, I guess... Listen there's something I need to tell you," Erin said nervously. "Eh..okay what is it?" he asked curiously. Erin took a deep breath, "I'm pregnant."
