Amethyst's POV:
Peridot was acting strangely in the hall today. I guess she's never been a good girlfriend anyways. "You Peri," I began.
She jumped a little when I said her name, "What is it Amethyst?"
"I think we should break up," I wispered trying to hide my tears by looking away.
"Okay?," she wasn't even the least bit shocked.
"Do you even care?," I screamed as Jasper and two other people looked at us.
"It was going to happen sooner or later," she shrugged. I ran down the hall with tears streaming down my face. Out of the corner of eyes I saw Jasper approach Peridot. I knew that Jasper was very strong and had a really bad temper, but I didn't want to protect Peridot.

Peridot's POV:
Jasper started to walk toward me, so I ran as fast as I could. Jasper being much taller and stronger than me ran at least twice my speed. "Ha, you can't follow me in here you clod," I screamed shutting one of that stall doors in the girls' bathrooms.
"Are you challenging me, little Diamond", Jasper roared.
"Ame-", I began before realizing she wouldn't come "Lazuli!", I yelled. "Shut up!", Jasper kicked the stall door open. I jumped up to the top of the stall with a blue toilet plunger for defense.
Lapis ran into the bathroom, "Jasper!".
"Oh look, my favorite little brat", Jasper smirked and grabbed Lapis so tightly by the wist she had bruises. Lapis pulled her arm away, but Jasper slammed her against the tile wall.
"Can you two clods try doing something else, like not fighting", I suggested as Lazuli feel to the ground from being hit in the stomach.
"You're right I didn't even come here for this brat", Jasper said with one last hit to Lapis' left ankle. He punched the stall causing me to fall, hit my head on the floor, and hit myself with the plunger.
"Germs", I screeched dusting myself off. Jasper laughed at me and started walking out before turning around, "Watch your back."
"My back is covered in bathroom floor germs, you CLOD!", I screamed at him. I walked over to help Lapis up and took her to the nurse's office. "Who in the h-e-double hokey sticks is that!", Amethyst stared at Lazuli.
"My name is Lapis Lazuli, nice to meet you", Lapis held out her hand, Amethyst just rolled her eyes and walked away. "What's wrong with her?", Lapis looked at me.
"We just broke up, so she's upset", I answered Lazuli.
"Oh, you're...never mind...so...um", she said awkwardly.
The bell rang dismissing school for the day. The car ride back to the house was silent and you could feel the tension inside my car. "We're here", I announced to wake Amethyst from her slumber. I parked the car and walked up on the porch to find the house locked. "Amy, the door", I pointed out.
"Go away nerd!", She yelled, but I didn't go "leave!", she yelled pushing me making me stumble a bit. When I regained my balance I looked up to see my half brother towering over me as he quickly tripped me causing me to fall down the stares. I ran back to my car to go back to the school to see if Lazuli was still there.
"Lazuli", I called to see if she was anywhere then remembered her asking if I wanted to do swim classes. I found that Lapis Lazuli wasn't in the pool area, so I walked outside to go to my car. Before I could even make it to my car I had a mental break down on the steps of the school. "Stupid Peridot! You had to mention you had to mention your mom, do nothing when your girlfriend broke up with you, and now you don't even have a place to stay!", I told myself , "Yellow Pearl was right, I'm lucky I haven't been disowned yet!". I began to cry and ripped my necklace off then threw it into the grass. As I put my head in my hands I felt a cold metal chain being placed around my neck I started to turn around.
"Hold still", I heard a girl behind me giggle. "This necklace suits you better", Lapis Lazuli smiled. I looked down to see a blue rock in the middle of it and glittering green stones all around the chain. "It's made of lapis lazuli and Peridot", she began to blush ,"...so you need a place to stay the night?".
"Yes. I'm so sorry I don't want to be a burden", I apologized.
"You can stay with me", Lapis offered kindly.
"Thank you, Lazuli", I said.
"Please, call me Lapis", she extended her hand out to me and helped me to my feet.
