AN:
Sorry, there's cursing. Also, this is super late. Also I super asexual so this whole crush thing might be way off. This story managed to have a longer hiatus than SU itself, dang!...I'm so sorry.Ruby's POV:
"Thanks for letting me sit with y'all," Sapphire thanked me with an (adorable) smile as we walked down the hall after lunch.
"You're welcome Sappy," I replied.
"Sappy?" she chuckled.
"Well, yeah," I blushed touching the back of my neak gently as I turned my gaze to the floor. "Is it okay?"
"Sure," she answered as she placed her hand on my shoulder. "My locker's right here so I have to go. I'll talk to you later, okay?" Sapphire asked.
"Okay," I said as I felt my face light up from feeling her hand on my skin.
Looking away, she then moved her hand and walked away smiling. I swear I saw her blush as she turned around. I know I saw a smile, I hope I put it there.
After a whole class of watching Pearl obsesse over a drawing of Rose Quatz the bell finally rang and I ran off to go talk to Sapphire before gym started.Sapphire's POV:
Shit, shit, shit! SHITITY SHIT! He's so cute! Did he see me blush? Did he see ME blush?! Crap, I think I blushed. Scratch that, I defenitly blushed... a lot. Darn it, I'm smiling like an idiot right now! He's just some guy, I am a women of class, I'll get over it.
"Hey, Sapphire," I heard Ruby's raspy voice behind me.
"Hello," I shyly smiled trying not the blush too much. He saw me blush though and turned bright red. "You okay?" I asked in a teasing matter.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Why?" He looked down at his feet as to not show his face.
"You're," I began then nuging him with my elbow said "ruby red." His face began to darken in red shade at my comment.
"I have to get ready for gym," he said quickly before hurring off to the locker rooms.
I don't think I'll actually get over him. Well, crap. "Bye, Ruby," I hollered as he fleed. I turned around with my face still burning.
"Got a crush?" I heard a voice say whilst (is that even the right word?) chuckling. As I looked up I was surprised to see Lapis standing behind me smurking.
"Well...," I began.
"Well, yes?" she questioned
"Yeah," I answered looking a little to the right to see if I could see Ruby through the coner of my eye, "I guess so." I didn't see Ruby since he had already gone to change.
I met Garnet on my way to the locker room. "I think that like Ruby," I admitted to her
"Yeah, duh. You've known him for a day and you still haven't stopped blushing. I'm surprised he doesn't have blue lipstick smuged on his lips yet," she laughed as we entered the locker room. I blushed for about the millionth time that day as she said that.
"Do you think blue is a weird color? Should I wear different lipstick? I don't want to freak him out," I asked beginning to change my apparel (ooh, fancy words.)
"I like it," Garnet smiled. "Just hurry up and change before P.E. starts."
"Yeah, okay," I said as I slipped a shirt over my head.
In gym I saw Ruby. I waved to him as he hid his face from me in embarrassment. I walked up to him and turned his face towards me with my hand. "Gosh, your hands are cold," he chuckled.
"Gosh, your heart is cold," I responded. "Can I warm it for you?" I joked.
"Wow, Sapphire such a flirt," Garnet teased. "Anyway, Ruby, anything you want to ask Sapphire?" Garnet asked him.
"Sapphire," he hesitated " will you go out with me?"
"Sure," I responded cooly even though I was practically screaming inside. He blushed as did I.
"I have a question too," I added "will you be my boyfriend?" That's how you get a boyfriend right?
"Hell, yeah!" he cheered.
'hell, yeah' He likes me? HE LIKES ME! I mean, I'd like me too; I can't really blame him.AN:
Sorry, it's so short after it's been so long. Anyway, would y'all like some pearlmethyst eventually? Personally I don't ship it but it's quite possible and most people do so I don't mind writing it. Again, sorry for the wait.
