Lapis Lazuli's POV:
Ugh, I hate having to get up early! "Get up", I pushed Aquamarine off of the guest bed. "Lapis!", she stood up and slapped me in the arm. "Shut up and get ready", I rubbed my eyes while slowly rolling out of bed. "Are you upset?", I looked up to see Peridot standing in the door way. "No, I just need my beauty sleep", I laughed getting up from the ground. "Looks like you haven't had that in awhile", Aqua smirked as she grabbed a dark blue skirt from her bag. "Looks like you've been a clod for awhile", Peridot leaned on the doorframe looking down at my sister. I looked down at my watch, "We should start getting ready. Hey, Aquamarine go change in the bathroom". "I'll change in my room", Peridot stretched her arms then walked away as I shut the door to change as well. After I did mine and Aqua's hair we began to walk outside. "Wait, Lapis I didn't eat", Aquamarine looked at be from in front of the bus. "Here", I said tossing her a bag with a doughnut from The Big Donut inside. "Lars dyed his hair pink", I yelled as the door shut. "Are you ready to go?", Peridot asked swinging her keys in her hands like Ghost Rider. "Yep", I began to step on to the sidewalk to walk to the school. "Do you want a ride?", she looked at me with a confused face, ha ha ride. "Sure", I felt embarrassed once I realized how far her house is from the school. "I got this CD from Greg", Peridot said inserting it into the player. "Some say I've got no direction", I heard the song start. "What does he even do for a living?", Peri asked me. "He has a car wash", I looked over at her. "Wow, he doesn't sing?", Peridot turned the car. "Not anymore. Did you know her used to be called Star Child?", I now looked out the window as the beach grew farther and farther away from view.  "I thought it was Greg Demayo", she seemed genuinely shocked. "Well that's his birth name, but he changed it to Greg Universe", I rolled down the window by about two inches. "What's Star Child, then?", Peridot stopped at a stop sign then looked over at me before driving again. "His 'stage name'", I put my hand out the window to felt the breeze as Peridot drove. "You know like when he sings", I looked back at her. "Why would anyone change their name to sing?", she cocked her head. "Do you ever like to sing?", I asked with a large smile painted on my face. "I've sung once", she answered. "Once! You don't even sing when you're alone", I was kind of surprised she's only sung once. "What do you mean 'when I'm alone' I'm normally alone", Peridot now looked at me as she stopped the car at a red light. "You're not alone now", I blushed staring into her green eyes. She stared into my eyes and we sat in silence for a few moments. "Peridot the light", I blinked looking at the now green light. "Right, yeah", her eyes darted back to the road as she began to drive again. "Look, there the school is", I yawned as I pointed at the large building. "Oh, joy", she sarcastically cheered. As we got out of the car we saw Pearl and Garnet standing outside of the school. "Hey, where's Amethyst?", I asked Pearl. "Well last night she and I were...", Pearl began to say before Garnet cut in. "Food poisoning", Garnet answered. "From what?", I looked at Garnet, but she just shrugged. "As I was saying...", Pearl started back up. "Burrito", Steven walked up to us. "She got it from...", Pearl started to explain. "It was three years old", Steven said saving us from having to listen to Pearl. "Was it even refrigerated? Frozen?", Peridot asked them. "No, she had kept it...", Pearl started to say something. "It was on the floor of her room", Steven finished. "That sounds like her", Peridot shrugged. "How do you know her?", Garnet asked all though she seemed to know the answer already. "They used to date", I answered her question. "Oh, you must be Peridot", Garnet held her hand out and Peridot shook hands with her. "I'm Garnet", she introduced herself. "Pearl", Pearl also held her hand out, but no one shook it, so she just pretended to wave at someone witch didn't fool anyone because she didn't talk to anyone besides the Crystal Gems and myself. "Wait, Steven why are you here?", I looked down at him because he didn't even go to school. "I wanted to see my mom", he shrugged. "Who's that?", Peridot asked Steven. "Rose Quartz", he smiled "Mrs. Rose." "How is Greg doing?", I wondered. "He's doing well. Marty just paid him", Steven looked at Peridot, "for singing." "He's very good at it", we all turned to see Mrs. Rose. "I can sing", Pearl mumbled out of jealousy as every one began to giggle "what?" The bell rang and we left Pearl to guess why we had laughed.
