Author's note:
Apparently people don't assume every book on WattPad curses, so I'm warning you I am going to curse in this chapter and probaly in other chapters. (In later chapters Ruby's vocabulary will probably be mainly curse words)Sapphire's POV:
I was walking into the school as a boy about my height pushed past me in a hurry. "I'm sorry", he blushed turning towards me.
"Oh, it's okay," I smiled at him.
"My name is-", he began to say.
"Ruby", I finished looking at his ID.
"Yeah. What's your name?", Ruby asked me.
"My name is Sapphire", I answered as I put my hand out for him to shake. He grabbed my hand and I felt how warm his hand was as he shivered from how cold mine was.
"Would you like to sit with a group of my friends and me for lunch?" Ruby asked me.
"Sure," I answered.
"I'll see you at lunch then," He smiled.
"I guess so," I said shyly as he and I parted ways. I walked over to where my locker was. I grabbed my supplies for my first period class, history. My friend, Padparashca, really likes history and she sometimes helps me since I sit by her. "Hello, Padparshca," I said as I set my books on the table.
"Hello, Garnet", I looked over as my friend, Garnet, walked into the room. "Hi", Garnet replied as she kept walking to her seat.
"Hello, Sapphire", Padparashca smiled at me and I smiled back as I opened my spiral. I looked up and saw Ruby hurriedly scribling down the answers to the weekend's homework. I starting writing our work in my planner when I heard my teacher walk into the room.
"Turn in your homework", he said as he sat down. Ruby ran across the room as fast as he could and I couldn't help laughing as he stumbled over Peridot's backpack. His face was practically on fire as he regained balance. Peridot looked up at him and then she moved her backpack before she got up to turn in her homework.Peridot's POV:
Some clod got dirt on my backpack, but it is nice to know someone is shorter than me. I moved my backpack and got up to turn in my homework.
Jasper bumped me as I walked back to my seat and said ,"If Lapis weren't so found of you, you would be in the hospital by now."
"Am I suppose to be glad you're only slithgly being an asshole?" I joked with sarcasm in my every word.
"Yes," Jasper said in a firm voice.
"Okay," my eyes were filled with fear."Thank you," I now straightened my back to look taller in my seat. Jasper just laughed as he walked away.
"Nerd," Jasper continued to chuckle as he moved farther and farther from me.
"At least I'm not a teenaged boy trying to wear leggings," I whispered angirly as I looked down to hide my face.
"Okay class, it's time to start today's lesson," our teacher annouced before I began to tone him out. I sat in silence throughout the class whilst trying not to fall asleep. Every word that he said seemed to pull my eyelids closer to eachother and made it harder to keep my eyes open behind my glasses. All the sudden the bell rang breaking me out of my trance. I scribbled down my homework in my planner then grabbed my backpack and left. "Hello, Lazuli," I smiled as I passed Lapis Lazuli.
"Hey, Peri," she reponded. Then looked over to see Steven.
"Hi, Lapis," He smiled. "What's up Dot?" Steven smiled again looking at me now. I looked at him then at Lapis. "Bye, I'll see y'all when you're in my mom's class."
"Okay," I waved then turned around to head to my locker. I waved at Lapis as I kept on walking. "I'll see you at lunch," I said to her without even turning around.
"Okay."
