(Jade POV)
I took a deep breath, calming myself, and started to tell my story.
"Four years ago, when our parents were murdered, I swore to kill any vampire, and to hunt down the one that killed them, to keep you two safe.
That very night, I started my hunt for him.
I found a vampire that wasn't him, but I foolishly took him on anyway. I killed him, but not before he sank his filthy fangs into my wrist."
I held my pale wrist up to the light, so Niamh could see the crescent shaped scar he left. She shuddered, and motioned for me to go on.
"So I started to panic as i felt the venom sear through my veins.
When I had snapped out of it, I grabbed my first aid kit and injected my empty syringe into my arm.
I had got most of the venom out, but unfortunately some of the venom had already spread to my heart.
I was half vampire in minutes.
When I had got back home, I checked myself in the mirror. My skin was paler and rock hard, my hair was as black as night and my eyes were normal, although I have noticed when I am hungry or angry they grow darker.
Later on I had tested my speed. I am extremely quick, I am faster than a human but slower than a full vampire.
It's the same with my strength.
I don't drink blood, I can but I prefer to survive on human food, that's why my eyes are still blue and not red like a vampire who had been feeding off humans would be. I also have fangs, but they are smaller that a normal vampires."
I withdrew my petite fangs, and then drew them up again quickly.
"Oh yeah, I have super sensitive hearing, sight, and smell, just like a normal vampire would have, so please don't yell too much around the house, it hurts my ears." I finished.
Niamh looked shocked."Whoa, I was soooo wrong to doubt you" she stated.
I shrugged, and pulled her into a fierce hug. She stiffened, but then relaxed and hugged me back tightly.
"Oh and by the way, I sleep, but I can operate normally on less sleep than humans. Also, I have a gift. I can produce fire out of nothing and control it, though if I produce too much it can get out of my control."
Niamh gasped. "Show me!" She yelled in excitement.
I sighed and closed my eyes. I had a feeling she would demand to see. I thought of a flame being conjured up in my hand, and sure enough a small flame was produced in the palm of my hand. I let the flame hover in the air, before I moved it around with my eyes a little. I saw Niamh chuckle, and then yawn hugely.
I made the flame vanish, and then carried Niamh up the stairs, to her room and into her bed just as she fell asleep.
Man, this situation is so out of my control, but there is no going back now.
I made my way slowly to my room, mulling everything over in my head.
