(Jade's POV)
Sitting down by the fire that Shane just made, rather skilfully I might add, I put my head in my hands and sighed. Why could nothing ever go right for me? Oh yeah. That was because I was Jade. The filthy, messed up half breed that didn't belong to either the vampire, or human race.
Suddenly I felt someone sit next to me. Expecting it to be Niamh or Sarah, I didn't look up.
"You know, Ryder isn't such a bad guy" A deep voice said from beside me. Looking to the right, I saw Jonas sitting there. "He's just, just under a lot of pressure"
"Under a lot of pressure? Enough to hurt his own beloved?" I asked, my voice full of scorn and bitterness.
Jonas' reply shocked me. "Yes" he said simply. He looked me directly in the eye when he said it, so I knew he wasn't lying.
Looking away, I let my gaze wonder to Niamh, who was sitting on Shane's lap, feeding him marshmallows and laughing about something. Then I looked to Sarah, who was now resting her head on Jonas' shoulder, sighing in content.
Why couldn't things go right for me for once? Sighing yet again, I lay down on my back, and fell asleep gazing at the stars.
Hey shadow army!
I am finally updating! Lol. Sorry this chapter is so short, but I needed to give you some vague idea of Ryder's background. Anyway, I have still got no updating schedule, so just watch out for any wild updates.
I might update again today, but if I don't I will definitely tomorrow.
Anyway, thanks for reading!
