Chapter fourteen

Lauren's POV

I'd been staying at the Cabello's house now for around 3 months. So far, me and Camila had done a good job at keeping our relationship secret from her parents as we knew that if they found out, they may act differently towards the two of us. I tried my best to go into my own room to sleep most nights to avoid anyone walking in on the two of us. Every morning around 9am I would go into Camila's room and we would head downstairs and have breakfast together, along with Sinu and Alejandro if they hadn't yet left for work.

I checked my watch and noticed it was 8:45am and so headed over to Camila's room to see if she was awake. I noticed she was fast asleep when I got into the room and luckily didn't wake up from me entering. The younger girl seemed to be moving about a lot in her sleep which caused me to wonder whether she was having a nightmare. I approached the bed to attempt to soothe the girl when I heard a slight groan escape her lips.

"Mmm Lauren baby right there" she moaned and I realised that Camila wasn't having a nightmare. I laughed at the fact she was having a dream about me whilst I was stood in the same room as her, knowing how mortified she would be if she knew I was stood watching. I knew I should probably wake her up but this was way too much fun to end so quickly.

"What do you want me to do babe?" I questioned, approaching the younger girl on the bed.

"Mmm fuck me laur, please" she spoke and I chuckled. Although this was probably the hottest thing I had ever witnessed, I decided it was about time I woke Camila before things got out of hand.

"Camz, wake up babe" I whispered softly whilst shaking her shoulders slightly. Camila began to stir in her sleep and looked up at me before smiling.

"Goodmorning laur" she smiled before placing her head on my chest.

"Morning baby" I replied, wrapping my arm around her.

"What time is it?" The younger girl questioned.

"It's 9am babe, you have uni at 11 remember" I spoke before continuing. "Sorry for waking you, you seemed to be having quite a good dream back there" I smirked and Camila's face dropped.

"How, how did you know?" She spoke, looking nervous. I felt guilty for embarrassing the girl but the opportunity was too good to miss.

"You may have said a few things in your sleep" I smirked and Camila buried her face in my neck.

"Why didn't you wake me?" She mumbled in embarrassment.

"It was hot" I shrugged and Camila rolled her eyes.

"You're a freak, you know that right?" Camila replied.

"Yep, now go get ready for uni before I make your dream a reality" I smirked and Camila flipped me off before exiting the room.

Camila's POV

I was walking back to my car after my lecture, joined by Dinah as we finished at the same time today. It was rare that we had lectures at the same time so it was nice to be able to spend some time with her after. For the time of the year, the weather was nice so we headed to the beach, knowing it wouldn't be too busy considering it was Wednesday so everyone was at work.

"So, you gonna sing at this event on Friday?" Dinah spoke, referring to the competition our course did every year. It involved performing an original song and the prize was £1000 which was pretty tempting to be honest.

"Dinah, you know I don't perform live, I rarely even sing for you, never mind the whole uni course"  I replied.

"I know mila, it was worth a shot though" my best friend spoke and I offered her a soft smile, knowing she was only trying to help me.

When I arrived back later that day, I filled Lauren in on my day, leaving out the details of the talent show as I knew she would probably encourage it. Once I had told her about my lecture and catch up with Dinah, I headed to get a shower before dinner. When I returned to my room with a towel on my head, Lauren was sat on the bed, holding a piece of paper in her hand.

"Are you gonna enter?" She questioned, turning the paper around to reveal a leaflet for the event on Friday.

"Erm, no I don't think so. I don't tend you perform in front of other people" I spoke.

"Oh okay babe, although I reckon you'd kill it if you did" she smiled, it made me happy how much the older girl believed in me.

"Nah, id probably just embarrass myself" I replied.

"You're gonna miss out on a hell of a lot of things if you keep telling yourself that, I practically had to be forced on xfactor but it was probably one of the best decisions I ever made" the green eyed girl spoke. I can't believe I'm actually considering this, god im whipped. I know how proud Lauren would be if I did it and I wanted nothing more than to make her proud of me.

"Would you help me?" I spoke, warming up to the idea. "This isn't a promise that I will, just that I might" I finished and Lauren's face lit up.

"Of course I'll help you baby, let's do this" she spoke and I smiled. I grabbed my phone to text Dinah and tell her that I was going to perform on Friday.

Camila: hey D, guess who's had a change of heart and is performing Friday?😜

Dinah: SHUT UP!!! i'm so proud of you right now and will be right there in the front row!❤️

I smiled at Dinah's reply and threw my phone onto the bed.

"So, what song are you gonna perform?" Lauren questioned whilst grabbing my guitar from next to my bed.

"Actually that's confidential information, don't worry though, I'll get Dinah to film it" I spoke, already preparing what song I was going to sing.

"Well how am I supposed to help you if I don't know the song?" She questioned.

"Just teach me how to not be an awkward mess in front of people, leave the rest up to me" I spoke, thinking about the song I had written about Lauren last week whilst she was asleep.

"Whatever floats your boat baby" she replied, offering me a soft smile.

"You float my boat" I replied, automatically regretting how cringe I had just been.

"Wow camz, that was bad" she replied whilst laughing before I flipped her off for the second time today. "Anyway" she spoke changing the subject. "We better get started superstar"
