Chapter sixteen

Camila's POV

It was the following Monday after the song contest and I was on my way to uni with Dinah to check the results. My best friend had informed me that the video she posted on YouTube had already hit 1000 views which blew my mind. When I told Lauren about this, she looked happier then I'd ever seen her and I was glad she believed in me so much. It was one of the times that I wished I could tell Dinah that Lauren was living with us, I knew she would freak if she found out how close me and the older girl are.

Me and Dinah arrived at the uni and I requested for her to check the sheet as I was too nervous to do so myself. At this point, winning wasn't even that important to me as I'd faced my biggest fear this week and for me, that's reward enough.

"hey mila! You won girl!" Dinah shouted and everyone around me started applauding. It felt like a moment from a film and I ran to my best friend and wrapped my arms around her. "I'm so proud of you" she whispered to me and I pulled back to give her the bigger smile. Everyone started gathering round and congratulating me before heading off and leaving just me and Dinah in the hall. Neither of us had lectures today and just came to check the results so we headed off to celebrate. Considering I'd just won £1000, I figured I owed it to Dinah to buy her lunch, seen as though she was part of the reason I even participated in the first place. We headed to the shopping centre to grab food before going shopping.

I arrived home later that day to tell Lauren the news, I didn't want to leave her at home all day as my parents had gone away for the week so it was just me and Lauren in the house. I walked through the door to see her on the sofa, strumming away at the guitar and humming a tune. I smiled at the sight before running behind her and wrapping my arms around her back, making her jump at the sudden contact.

"Hey baby, how'd it go?" She questioned after planting a quick kiss on my lips.

"I won Lauren! I did it!" I replied and she wrapped her arms around me and squeezed me tightly.

"I'm so proud of you camz" she replied before kissing me. The kiss soon turned into a heated make out session resulting in me straddling Lauren's lap. Even though I'd never kissed anyone before Lauren, I'm pretty sure that even if I had, Lauren would still be the best. Her tongue was like magic, moving perfectly with mine and her lips were the softest thing I'd ever felt. Kissing Lauren was one of my new favourite things and if it wasn't for lack of oxygen, I could probably keep going all day.

"So, what do you wanna do to celebrate?" Lauren questioned after pulling away and offering me a soft smile.

"Actually, I bought something to fit the occasion" I spoke after pulling the bottle of vodka from my bag and smirking at Lauren.

"Well shit someone came prepared" Lauren replied, taking the bottle from my hand.

"I mean, I guess I never actually checked if you drink, I just sorta presumed that you do" I spoke questioningly, realising I never considered whether or not the older girl was ok with drinking.

"Oh I'm in baby" she replied and I smirked at her before placing the bottle back on the table and kissing her again. "Can we eat first though because I've made that mistake before and it is not one I want to repeat" Lauren spoke and I only nodded before entering the kitchen.

Lauren's POV

"So, are we just gonna like drink it, or are we gonna make this interesting?" I questioned the younger girl, holding the bottle in my hand.

"How about we play a game?" She replied whilst switching the TV on and heading into the kitchen. The younger girl returned with two shot glasses in her hands and clicked on the YouTube app on her TV. She then proceeded to search 'fifth harmony live performances' and clicked on a playlist of the 'best performances'. I was confused why Camila was doing this but went along with it anyway. She clicked on the top video and paused it before it began.
