Chapter 8
.
I had a dreamless sleep. When your reality is so perfect, there is no need to dream, rather focus on the life you are actually living. For the first time in years, I didn't dream about One Direction.
I groggily opened my eyelids, then closed them in pain. The room was already extremely bright, filled with light that burned my eyes. Squinting through my eyelashes, I groped for my glasses on the coffeetable.
It was only then did I realize that I was in a bed, not on the couch.
I sat bolt upright, and saw my glasses, a vague black shape on the blob of a side table beside the bed. I placed them on my nose and took in my surroundings.
I was in Harry's room. The bed was large, probably a King size. The warm, snuggly duvet was white, as were the sheets and pillowcases. The beige tile continued into the large room, and into the bathroom which was beside a massive closet. There was a TV on the wall opposite from me, and a bedside table directly to my left. A large digital clock sat on the table, with a handwritten message stuck onto its face. The writing was scrawled in pen, and I plucked it off of the clock, which to my horror read 12:00. I had slept in.
"Onika; I couldn't sleep knowing you were out there on that couch, so I moved you in here while you were sleeping. We didn't want to wake you up, but we left to do some shopping. Hopefully you got to sleep in a little. We advise that you don't leave the hotel for safety reasons because the crowd outside is insane, we had to leave through a different exit. We will be back in the afternoon to make some dinner plans. We ordered a grocery order that came this morning, so there's lots of food if you get hungry. The TV and computer are there for you to use, and there's also a phone. I included my number on the back if you need to get a hold of us. Also, the girls left some clothes for you to change into. See you this afternoon xx ~Harry"
The boys, Eleanor and Danielle were shopping for the afternoon. This gave me a chance to make it up to them for what they had done for me.
I reluctantly left the warmth of the duvet and walked into the bathroom. Being the master bath, I saw a huge Jacuzzi tub sitting in the corner of the room. I started the water, grabbed some shampoo and soap, and shimmied out of Danielle's silky pyjamas and into the warm water. The water relaxed all of my muscles, and the soft pulsing of the jets soothed my soreness. I washed my hair first, rinsing the hard hairspray from the day before out, and scrubbed it clean once more. I did the same to my body, the hard soap bar sliding down my small frame. As I finished, I towel dried myself, and then using a towel like a tent over my head, wafted the steam coming off of the water towards my face, opening my pores. Using some soap and a loofah, I scrubbed my face clean again, taking the oil off. I drained the tub, then proceeded to blow drying my hair.
Satisfied, I took the outfit that the girls had laid out for me; a pair of cropped jean shorts, a simple white tank top, and a drapey blue vest. They even included a nautical looking pair of blue Toms. I slipped into the comfortable clothes, ties my hair up into a mess side ponytail, and walked to the kitchen.
While searching for some cereal, I came across a box of spaghetti. I checked the cupboards, and a jar of tomato sauce was soon found. Fresh garlic and mushrooms were in the fridge. When they asked for a grocery order, they sure got one.
I poured myself a bowl of Cheerios and walked towards the bright light streaming through the windows. There was a large ledge, so I plopped myself down, and began to happily munch on my cereal. I tried to take in as much of the skyline as I could, every line, every window. I sat there for quite a while, memorizing the view. I then decided to look at the street.
