Super Sentai: A Unified Introduction

Power Rangers. "oh that kids show where 5 people beat up monsters and then fight inside a giant robot." Yeah, that Power Rangers.

But we're talking about Super Sentai here.

Super Sentai was created in 1975 by manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori. You might also know him from other excellent pieces of media such as Kamen Rider, Kikaider, Skull Man, and Cyborg 009.

The series at first, did not go well so it went through a hiatus after its second Sentai series.

Then toei revived the series.

26. Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger (Hurri= Harri = Harry Potter, Canger = kenja = Philosopher's, Hurricanger was based off Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, according to Super Hero Taihen)

41. Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger (Current sentai to have the "ranger" word, also first sentai to have 9 rangers at the start, also returns to number sentai name, kyu is 9 in japan. The number naming thing returned since GoGo 5 but the japanese number name was since Gorenger)

42. Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger (ok I'm not gonna do these fact stuff anymore XD)

Hikounin Sentai Akibaranger: I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! It's an unofficial sentai that has a lot of humor and a chock-full of sentai references. The roll call is awesome, and it gets even more cool when the blue ranger gets mentored by a suit actor.

BTW there's two seasons. Watch the first season then the second one.

The other sentai:

Power Rangers Dino Force Brave: The Korean power rangers. This is actually CANON as it takes place after the events of Kyoryuger but before the 100 years one. Oh and BTW after Kyoryuger Brave is Animal Force, AKA Zyuohger. SOUTH KOREA WHAT-
