A JUMP TO THE SKY TURNS TO A RIDER KICK. (Zero-One Episode 1 Reaction)

SPOILERS BEWARE!

Well, that was fun. There's a fun groove to this series that I'm excited for. 

Synopsis: Hiden Intelligence creates the HumaGears, androids that can basically do anything that humans can. After the president dies, an organization known as MetsubouJinrai.NET starts their mastermind plan: turning the HumaGears to Magia, androids that will destroy all of humanity. Aruto, who plans on being a comedian becomes the president of Hiden Intelligence and also becomes Kamen Rider Zero-One. He's also funny because he fails at being funny.

Character Reviews

Aruto Hiden: A 22 year old male who aims to be a comedian but fails to make people laugh. He becomes Kamen Rider Zero-One. I dig him. His personality, appearance, and portrayal satisfies me.

Izu: The apparently cute secretary that's considered everyone's Waifu. I like how she explains Aruto's bad jokes after he says it, which embarrasses him a lot. It seems like she'll play a more major role in the future.

Isamu Fuwa: This guy has a dark past regarding Humagears. Probably his parents were killed by them. He probably used to live in that town where it's all destroyed now.

Yua Yaiba: Meh. I got nothing. I guess likable since she'll be Kamen Rider Valkyrie.

Horobi: This guy's the leader? When I first saw the trailer I thought he was gonna be some subordinate. He is menacing despite his appearance. It does make sense for him to be Kamen Rider Horobi.

Jin: He looks like someone from a B-Movie ngl. Also he's Parado 2.0. Everyone on reddit was commenting about Parado 2.0. and the fact that he smiled after shooting a Magia... damn that's unique. So yeah overall I like his personality. 

My highlights

One major complaint I have after watching episode 1: DAMN IS CG OUTDATED! I know that Toei has a lower budget than when they make movies, but that looks worse! Especially the part when Zero-One jumps in a bus. That's ugly! Zi-O had better CG lol, but it is the first episode, so I won't criticize it. Give it 10 episodes and I'll comment on the CG again.

There are a lot of praises I have for the episode though. The visual fx looks amazing with the techno binary stuff. I like those a lot. Rising Impact looks AMAZING!!!!!! 

Izu throwing the Attache Calibur and hitting Aruto made it worth the watch. And also Aruto twisting his ankle after the rider kick.

The bond with Aruto and his father even though his father was a Humagear.

The Choreo was amazing

The Magia transformations. HOLY F---

Zero-One's transformation. HOLY SHI-

The theme songs and insert themes are like a combination of music from Heisei and Showa. I love it. 

I guess this song is called Find a New Life. As I said before, it takes on elements of Dragon Road. Hell you can probably use this in old anime openings. Maybe Rurouni Kenshin. It's like a meh version of Heart of Sword now that I think about it.

This opening is great as well.

I literally can't wait until the actual CD is released so I can get my hands on it lol.

So yeah. Zero-One. I'm hype for the next episode.

Fun fact: Fumiya Takahashi, the actor that plays Aruto is a prestigious cook. He would've become a professional chef if he didn't take the entertainment path. He even has a cooking blog as well. (go to the wiki to find it because I'm too lazy to pull it up lol)
