Australia - The Shins

Where are you now - Mumford and Sons

--

They're back! I happily walk to work as I get to see Justin for the first time since they got back. Three days felt like a very long time. Also, I can't wait to brag to Telford how I have absolutely no work to do because guess which bad bitch read and annotated all the bills?

I scan my badge and go through the metal detector as I get to work and take off my jacket and sprint up the steep steps. Jesus, sprinting was not a smart Idea. I decide as I rest at the top of the stairs.

"Someone is out of shape!" I hear a Quebec English Accent laugh from around the corner.

The sides of my lips pull up into a smile, "You know I am!" I turn around a corner and a see a certain brunette with deep blue eyes in a navy blue suit. The two of us get about a foot away from each other before we recognize where we are and stop ourselves right in our tracks. Justin nods at me in understanding. "How was your trip?" the two of us begin walking down the hall.

"Just great! The Obamas are fantastic, sad I'm catching them in the end." Justin smiles weakly.

"Yeah, it's okay, you'll meet Hillary next time!" I smile at him. I had been paying attention to the election recently. There's no way in hell Trump will win. He uses the ad hominem attacks and fear politics to get supporters. No one would vote for that. About two years ago I had finally obtained dual citizenship in Canada, so I technically still have to vote in this election.

Justin looks at me, "I wouldn't speak so soon. You never know."

"Justin, no one will vote for a cheeto, don't worry!" I pat him on the back as we arrive to the office.

"So, what is your plan for the day?" Justin asks as he leans against his door frame.

"Um, I don't know, have any bills you need me to take care of?" I smirk.

"No, but on the plane I read over your annotations over that one tax bill, and they were great! You really have a knack for this, don't you?" Justin folds his arms together.

I blush, "I wouldn't say that!" I crinkle my nose.

He shakes his head, "You need to believe in yourself! You're good at this, admit it!"

"No! I don't like to brag!" I confess. I've always hated bragging about myself.

"Say it! I'm not letting you leave until you do!" Justin commands.

I roll my eyes, "You act like having to spend the day with you would be a punishment." I laugh. My natural blonde waves fall in my face just a little bit.

"Oh, I have my ways of making it one." Justin raises his eyebrows.

"Mhm, and how would you do that?" I smirk. I gently adjust my dark blue dress that flows elegantly right above my knee.

"I could make you run messages to MPs all day...in those heels." Justin looks down at the black pumps I decided to wear today.

"You wouldn't dare." I squint my eyes.

"Oh, I would." Justin leans back and tries to look a little taller. He's already a good 6 inches taller than me, I don't know why he tries to look taller than me.

"Ok, what's the first message?" I jerk one side of my mouth into a smirk.

"Excuse me, Justin, you have a meeting in about 10 minutes. Also today, you have the celebration of the Sikh Canadians on the Hill today." Telford interrupts our rather non productive banter/flirting.
