2 DAYS LATER
"Will you mind getting me another coffee?" Telford asks as she sits at her desk working on Justin's agenda for the next 3 months. I nod and head downstairs.
I've started to call this place "The Hub" pretty much every intern escapes here for two reasons: one, they want a little down time from the hectic life of a government intern or they have to get their boss coffee. I've become familiar with all the interns, although I don't see them a lot due to the fact that I'm pretty much interning the Prime Minister which has me running around a lot.
"Hey are you Eliza?" I muscular brunette asks me, I haven't seen him here before I think as he awaits my answer.
"Yes! I'm sorry, but are you new here? I don't think I've met you yet!" I fix my posture. I start to notice his stunning features: Dark, brown eyes and olive skin tone with light brown hair.
"Oh, I'm Kyle! Sorry, I just started today! I've just heard a lot about you." Kyle's face grows slightly florid.
"All good things I hope!" I laugh a little as I wait for a fresh pot to brew.
"Of course, I don't think it's possible to say anything bad about you." Kyle flirts. Okay, I think this guy is cool.
"You'd be surprised." I smirk as I think of all the competition for this one internship. "Anyway, how has your first day been?"
"Not bad actually! I'm the intern for the Director of Correspondence, Jean-Loc Marion, so he does a lot of the work." Kyle laughs.
"Oh don't worry, just wait, there will be work!" I raise my eyebrows. I hear the 'ding' of the coffee machine and grab a mug to pour it into.
"So what is it like to follow the Prime Minister around?" Kyle follows me as I walk to the coffee pot.
"It's pretty fun! Telford kinda lets him direct me a lot of the time, but for the most part I think I'm sort of friends with the Prime Minister." I shrug and act unsure about calling Justin and I "friends" even though we're definitely at least friends.
"That's amazing." Kyle replies is astonishment.
"Well, Telford is probably getting zombie-like without her coffee so, I should probably get this to her." I laugh a little as Kyle nods.
"Okay, I hope to see you around Eliza!" Kyle winks at me.
"You too, Kyle." I roll my eyes playfully.
I set Telford's coffee on the desk silently and grab the stack of papers labeled "Prime Minister". I decide to go ahead and run that to Justin. I gently knock on the door.
"Come in!" Justin calls from behind the wood door. "Ah, Hello Eliza!"
"Hey Justin! I a present for you." I say sarcastically as I lay the 5 kilogram stack of papers on his desk.
"Mmm, my favorite." Justin raises his eyebrows. "So, I'm going to be here late tonight because I have to get ready to meet with my team tomorrow, want to stay with me so I don't go insane?"
I tap my finger against my chin as if I'm pondering my answer, "Sure, why not." I smirk.
"Good." Justin winks.

As I head up the stairs with dinner, I overhear a conversation that Justin is having with Sophie over the phone.
