I Dare You - The XX
On Hold - The XX

"I can't fit into these jeans anymore!" I pout as I FaceTime Justin. The two of us agreed we would keep the overnight stays to a minimum, which means I see him a lot less than I would like. "I guess I'm wearing tights until I go shopping."
Justin laughs, "At least you get some shopping out of this."
"Yeah, but is it for things I want to wear? No." I roll my eyes as I notice my shirt fitting slightly tighter than it has before. "I thought I wasn't supposed to show until like 5 months?"
"It varies. You're pretty small as is, so I would expect you to show earlier." Justin shrugs.
"Dad, what's for breakfast?" I hear Hadrian's little voice call in from the corner.
"What do you want?" Justin turns from the camera.
"Pancakes!" Hadrien claps his chubby hands together. My heart flutters at the sight of the two of them interacting. I can't help but think the three Trudeau children will be great half-siblings to the life inside of me.
"Okay, I'll be there in a moment!" Justin kisses his son's blond, curly locks. As Hadrien leaves the room, Justin turns back to me, "Well, that's my call. I'll see you later. Love you."
"Love you too." I blow him a kiss.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" One of the workers at the maternity store asks.
I blush, knowing fully well the reason why she thinks she knows me, "I don't think so...."
"Wait, yes! I do! Are you...Eliza Norwell?" The lady's eyes grow as she makes the connection between the store and me.
I feel myself getting annoyed, "Yes, I am. And no this is not his."
The worker embarrassed by herself, "Oh I wasn't assu-"
"I know but I can't be too cautious given everything that happened." I explain as I head to the dressing room. When I close the curtain I hear the same girl murmuring to her coworker.
"That's the girl with Trudeau!" The worker, who couldn't have been older than 23 begins talking to her coworker about me. "Do you think it could be HIS?"
"No, Natalie, you know those rumors were false. Besides she doesn't even work for the administration anymore." The other girl argues.
"Yeah, but Trudeau and his wife are separated now...." Natalie nicely points out.
"That's true, do you really think it could be his?" The other girl sequels.
"I don't know. Should I tweet about it?" Natalie asks.
"I don't know. You don't want it traced back to you though." The coworker shrugs.
I block out the conversation as I try to put on the maternity clothes calmly. But my entire body is shaking. If I'm recognized anywhere, that'll be the first thing they think. I can't do this to Justin. I practically rip off the pants and slip my tights back on and quickly exit the dressing up, visibly stressed.
"Can I help you with anything?" Natalie asks.
"No, Natalie. Thank you though." I sternly respond before quickly leaving the store to get fresh air.
I dial Telford's number, "Hello."
"Hey Telford, we may have a situation." I nervously state.
I can almost hear her eye roll, "Come into the office. Talk to me, not to Justin at all. One of the bills failed today, so he's not in the greatest mood."
"Gotcha."
--
"Hey Telford." I knock on the wooden frame of the office door.
"Come in! Sorry there are files everywhere today, we're trying to compromise on this bill." Telford shuffles around some papers as I sit down. I'd never seen her like this before. I unfortunately had been so busy studying for exams and such that I hadn't been able to keep up with the current happenings of Canadian Parliament.
"It's okay, but you might not like what I have to say next now...." I bite my lip.
Katie lets out an exasperated sigh, "What now?"
I run my fingers through my thickening hair (thanks, pregnancy!), "Well, I was at a maternity store today trying on some jeans and the girl recognized me..." I pause and look at Telford to see if she's reacted in anyway- she hasn't, "and when I went in to try on the jeans she talked to her friend about tweeting about how the baby could be Justin's theoretically. I just wanted to let you know for damage control purposes."
"You've got to be fucking with me?" Telford angrily grabs her phone. "Stupid ass teenage girls are gonna ruin the prime minister." She says under her breath.
Telford opens twitter on her laptop and...
