"Anything?" Angelina asks as she returns to the living room, I shake my head in response. The woman groans in frustration as she plops onto the couch, "This is ridiculous, a whole week and nothing! She's gone AWOL! A child, I tell you."

After the dinner, Cassidy ignored nearly every contact from Angelina, Grace, Taylor, Damien, and I. At first, we were giving her space, but a couple of days later, we showed up and Auntie informed us that she informed her that she went on a mini vacation. A vacation that she, Angelina, and I were supposed to go on together.

"She's a grown adult, but she'll always be my child," Aunt sighs devasted, "Not that I was a good mother in her teen years."

"Auntie, please don't say that. Cassidy forgave you after she knew the truth; both of you made amends and grew from that. None of this is your fault," I try to reassure her, pushing myself up to sit on the edge of my seat to lean towards where she sat on a loveseat. I placed my hand over hers, "You didn't know of the situation because Cassidy didn't want to speak of it."

As any other person, she wanted to know what was going on and we explained, she was shocked and upset with herself not knowing her child was uncomfortable in her own home. Afterwards, she tried to make Cassidy (who was surprisingly communicating) to tell her more updates or send photos, but Cassidy would send photos that were hard to tell where she can be at. We went to San Monica where the "vacation is taking place", but she was not in the hotel she apparently booked at nor any other place she said she'd be. We searched over places that we've gone out for a weekend trip before, but she was nowhere to be found, it was as if she was gone and never coming back.

"Well, at least we know she's not in danger and safe," Angelina inputs, trying to lighten the mood, "I know it be dumb for us not to call the police; it would make everyone's lives better if we did, but she probably did this to just clear her mind and would hate for legal authorities to get involved. However, how long this will this last is the question."

"Are there any other places you think Cassidy could've gone to? Like making a comment on the whim she wanted visit a certain place?" I asked Auntie to which she shook her head.

"We need help from somebody," Angelina says, getting up and slamming her thighs in determination, "I'm going to put my pride aside and ask people who might have a better idea than I could."

"And who are they other than her family and friends?" I questioned her, following behind her quickly as she slips on her shoes in the front of the door.

"Ashton and the others," She answers, taking out her phone.

"Okay woah, no," I immediately denied, "I know you're worried, but we'll look for her tomorrow, let's get some rest."

"No, Vanessa," She retorts as gently as she could, but I assume frustration was building up, "I made a promise to her that I would always be there for her, but I allowed my anger to blind what was right in front of me, her silent suffering.

Promises shouldn't be broken and I'm running out of ideas here, Vane. I don't want to see them either," Angelina tells me as she stares at her phone in defeat, "And I thought I knew her inside and out but now, I don't even know. All I know is she needs someone right now."

They were always more than cousins; they were sisters, and Angelina was really the only person in Cassidy's life before high school. I know Angelina has a sense of responsibility; she's putting her pride aside for her person.

"Alright, let's do it then," I say, walking over to put on my shoes, "You're right about Goldilocks and the others, they must know some places she can be at."

"Hey," Ashton mumbles as he opens the door for us, he moves aside and allows us to enter in, "So, Cassidy has been missing?"
