Okay so I've noticed that almost all of these have to do with them getting drunk in some way. I apologize for being predictable and boring.

Kyle POV:

I used to pride myself in self control. Way back when I had some, I could sit a table with an entire  chocolate cake and utensils and not eat because I could simply tell myself, "No Kyle, you don't need to eat that. There's yogurt in the fridge." Nowadays, if I find myself thinking about chocolate, five minutes later I'm in the store buying some. My self control levels get even lower if I'm

A) alone

B) bored

C) drunk

D) a combination.

t the moment, I'm a mix of A and B. I lay on the floor of the bedroom Dan and I share in a heap of pillows and blankets Dan is dropping something off at his sister's house and will be back shortly. Saying somebody will 'be back shortly' is confusing. Time is a man made concept, for there isn't a natural 9:00. Time is relative, so a person who is 30 years old thinks of ten seconds as just a little bit of time. A person who is ten seconds old, to them it would be their whole life. Basically, a thirty year old's "shortly" is a lot longer than a newborn's "shortly."

"Ky! I'm home!" Dan yells, keys jangling.

"Finally! I was very bored!" I yell back, getting out of the large pile of fluff and fabric.

"What were you doing?" Dan asks, appearing in the doorway

"Lying in a pile of bedding." I reply.

"Wait- when you were a kid, did you ever make pillow forts?" He asks.

"YES AW MAH GAWD I WAS BOSS AT IT!" I say excitedly

"Same!" Dan exclaims.

"Now I'm low key tempted to make one." I admit.

"What's stopping us?" Dan replies, grinning.

"Society and it's thoughts on two grown men building a pillow fort on the floor of their bedroom for their own amusement."

"Aren't you quite the ray of sunshine today!" Dan says, oddly optimistically.

I roll my eyes. "Okay we are going to need supports."

"This chair and the bed could be a help." Dan says, pulling a chair to the middle of the room.

"We could use the laundry basket as one." I offer.

"It would need to be taller." Dan says, looking around the room.

We pause to think. "We could stack it on something."

"Brilliant idea!" Dan smiles. "I'll get one of the bins from the storage closet."

While he's gone, I sort the blankets and pillows. I conclude that a large fitted sheet could work well as the roof.

I barely hear him enter and stack the laundry basket on top of the plastic bin.

"One of those pride flags could work as a wall." I say, pulling one out of the heap.

"Perfect! Let's put the roof on first."

We take a while to fully construct our nostalgic pillow fort, which is complete with

-a door

-four walls

-a roof

-fairy lights

-a lot of pillows to use as seating

-the iPad and a Bluetooth speaker for movies

-a bag of crisps and beers

"Lovely." Dan says, looking back at our finished product.

"The beers kind of ruin the nostalgia." I remark.

"Right!" Dan says, scowling to himself. "Should I get sodas instead?"

We both laugh. "Yeah there's some in the fridge." I say.

Dan disappears to the kitchen. I crawl back inside. To fort and notice a saggy part of the roof.. naturally, I attempt to fix it. I gently push on the chair to tighten the blanket, but half the fort crashes down on me.

"WHAT WAS THAT?" Dan screeches from the kitchen.

I don't reply and rush to fix it, which results in more collapsing.

"Kyle, this is why we don't allow you in public." Dan says, sounding about in the doorway.

"I'm sorry!" I cry.

"Can you crawl out so we can fix it?" Dan sighs.

"I'm holding the chair up. Could you pull it a bit?" I say, trying to be useful

Dan pulls back the chair, fixing the fort including the saggy roof.

"Good job." I say sarcastically.

"So what do we do now?" Dan asks, crawling in. He hands me a Diet Coke.

"Wanna watch a movie?" I ask, hoping he doesn't suggest-

"MUHOLLAND DRIVE!" Dan chants, nudging me with his elbow.

"I heard the new one that Tom Felton is in is really good." I suggest.

"Or we could watch Lost Highway." Dan says stubbornly.

"How about the-"

"PLEASE SOMETHING BY DAVID LYNCH." Dan begs.

"Fine. Just-"

"LETS WATCH TWIN PEAKS!" I see the exited look in Dan's eyes, that he finally has a small chance of getting me to watch Twon Peaks with him.

"If it makes you happy." I groan.

Dan pulls my into a hug and starts whispering something, I can't tell what it is. All I hear is "you're the best, babe."
