I'm not ready to see you Mara. Not yet.

Mystery Girl and I decided to head out to the arena. She wanted to train me, because apparently by beating some Clarisse La Rue in a duel, she became the top fighter in the entire camp. (That's my Mystery Girl!) Although Chiron decided I should stick to mainly a bow and arrow, Mystery Girl said she'd train me to become decent with a sword or something.

It was a nice thought at first, but the actually training was a little ... intense. And as the wind blew her shirt up, I couldn't help but wondering how much time she really put into all of this.

But in the end, my opinion was even more enforced: Mystery Girl is fucking badass.

~~~
Your smile reminds me of fireflies,
Capable of lighting up the dark,
your eyes the color of fallen leaves,
among the blades of grass,
and your laughter how it echoes,
like my favorite babbling brook,
but your friendship is unmeasurable,
a blessing I've never understood.
Somehow, Mystery Girl and I ended up making out on the same roof as always during dinner.
And let me tell you, it was amazing.
~~~

"I feel you in the darkness whispering quietly to me, 'Hold tight darling. You're not drowning because I will calm the sea.' But I can't help wondering, what if it's not the sea causing my mind to be submerged?"

~~~
I looked sideways at Mystery Girl. We laid down on the rocky roof, watching the sky. As she explained the story being the constellations present, her beauty could only increase.
"Ursa Major," she described, "was thought to be a bear by the early Greeks. But before she was a bear, Callisto was a truly beautiful maiden." Not as beautiful as you, of course. "She was so attractive that Zeus became 'interested', and before they knew it, there was a baby named Arcas."
"The old man really can't keep his dick to himself, can he?" I snickered. To this, Mystery Girl laughed. It was a really, really, nice laugh that I'd listen to all night to fall asleep -- not because it would be deemed tiresome, but rather because it was something calming.
"Anyways," Mystery Girl continued, "Hera, being the wife she is, got incredibly jealous of Callisto and decided to turn her into a bear. However, Callisto's son Arcas grew up without knowledge of this. When he grew up to be a great hunter, he mistook his mother to be a hostile bear in the woods.
"So he shot her with his bow and arrow.
"Luckily, Zeus was able to stop the arrow before it was able to hit Callisto. To prevent Hera from further causing any more damage, he turned Arcas into another bear. Then, he grabbed both bears by their tails, and swung them both into the heavens so they could live peacefully among the stars."
I could listen to her talk for hours.
"Remember when we talked about life being a majorly fucked up dream?" Mystery Girl asked quietly, turning her head to face me. She held my hand gently and closed her eyes.
"Yeah," I replied, blinking slowly. "Yeah, I do."
Mystery Girl smiled slowly. It crept up the sides of her face perfectly. "But I don't suppose this dream is as fucked up as I thought before."
"Why?"
Mystery Girl grinned as she curled up closer to me, still clasping our hands together. She leaned in as if what she were to say was a secret. I could almost taste her minty breath.
"I just realized ... they're not nightmares ... not yet, at least."
