Cuts, bruises, almost falling to death, that's the hardest part about coming to the one place. The one place where I always wanted to go, the Black Order. Being fifteen years old and becoming an exorcist was a huge thing, my master had finally decided after seven years of long, hard fought, endless torture. Honestly, all of that was utterly useless, I didn't really learn everything from my master, I ended up teaching myself all the steps. I knew being an exorcist wasn't easy, if I had an opinion on it, I would say that not even the smartest teenagers or adults could have what it takes. Considering how far I have come since then, I am proud of myself.
I stared at my dirtied boots, then back at the large black doors. Something about this place made me feel, off. I slowly reached my hand up and held onto the back of my hammer. The air I was breathing was musty and gross, I coughed a little bit and finally reached up, pressing the doorbell. The sound it made caused me to jump. "What kind of door-" Suddenly a large figure looked down at me. "NAME PLEASE?!" It boomed in my face. My eyes widened and I stumbled back, I unknowingly whipped out my hammer and put it infront of my face. "Uh...." Was all i could come up with. "NAME. PLEASE!" The voice boomed again.
I shakily stood up and stumbled back. "Wah....Wah my name is Ivory Louise Bookman! I was sent here by Cross!" I yell back at the weird looking thing. Suddenly, before I could make another move, heavy and enormous guns were pointed at me, I heard a click and I stood there silently. I was unable to process what was happening.
"Komui! Stop! Does she look like an Akuma?!" A distorted voice came from the figure. I blinked and scrambled back as far as I could. "Hmm, I dunno, I've never seen her before." Another distorted voice said. At this point, I was very very confused. I felt like I wanted to say something, but I don't want to risk getting shot multiple times until I'm practically nothing. "You have to check your desk Komui..." The other voice said, then hearing a smack on something hard. Probably his head. I had given up on what fear had washed over me and I stood up, crossing my arms. "Uh excuse me? Is this the way you people always greet new members?!" I said reaching my point of annoyance. I waited for a reply, silence. "Cause if it is? I will leave this place, this is clearly not what I hoped for if you just treat new exorcists like crap, guess Master Cross was wrong...." I shot at the figure and turned on my heel, looking down at what I would have to climb down.
"WAIT!" The voice boomed, almost causing me to fall of the edge. I regained my balance just in time and I turned on my heel. "...Eh?" I tip my head. Suddenly, the large black doors opened. "Welcome to the Black Order." A figure with long green hair waved at me, judging by the voice, she was a young woman. I raise an eyebrow and my feet carry me inside the large building. My eyes study the inside, it was way bigger then I had imagined it, every level was filled with rooms. In the center was a railing, a railing that kept us from what looked like an enormous white dragon, with a face of a woman. I stare the creature with disgust. "What in the...." I start.
"That would be Hevlaska." The girl with the high pitched voice told me, I turned to the girl and nodded. "I....see." I mutter lowering my head. If she is the only person in the order, I'll probably leave then and there. Whatever her name was, I had a feeling I was not going like her one bit. She seemed like the type of person that would constantly get in your business or bug you every day. As I continued to stare at Hevlaska, the girl continued rambling about how the Order was and about all the same boring stuff I learned before coming here.
I turned on my heel, deciding to end the conversation there, before I could take a step forward, a scaly tentacle like thing wrapped around my torso, my eyes widened. "What-" I could not finish my sentence before I was lifted off the ground. My hammer fell to the ground, the green haired girl looked up with wide eyes before lightly laughing. My arms thrashed about, trying to get my self free. "What the hell is this?! I didn't come here for this!" I spat angrily at someone who could help me.
"Please, relax, young child."
My thrashing suddenly paused, my teeth stayed grit together, they were so tight I could push them back into my mouth. "Huh?" I mumbled, keeping my one hand on the tentacle of what was called 'Hevlaska.' "Do not be alarmed, I am not your enemy." Hevlaska's voice was smooth and calming, like the sound of wind through a meadow. "What, are you?" I ask with ease. Hevlaska loomed over me, her eyes staring me down not with anger, but with calmness. I suddenly started to relax. "I am human, but my innocence has caused my body to form, into this." She explained slowly.
I blinked at her. "What, exactly do you want with me?" I questioned. Hevlaska suddenly set me down on the middle floor of the order. "I only wanted to see you up close. I am sorry for alarming you." She said calmly as she went back to doing what she was doing.
I held my chest tightly, my heart was beating almost as fast as a hummingbird. "Wow, that was really something." I whisper to myself. A hand extended and touched my shoulder lightly. I whipped around and smacked against the cold railing. "Ow." I cringe holding my lower back. I glare at who touched me, and to come to my surprise, it was the green haired girl. "I'm sorry for scaring you, I just wanted to introduce myself." She smiled at me. I stand up straight, my face plain. She extended her hand to me. "I'm Lenalee Lee." She said. I look at Lenalee's hand and I hesitated. "Uh, I'm Ivo-"
"Ivory Louise Bookman, welcome to the black order."
