I never got a chance to introduce myself to Lenalee before my name was already called. I lower my head and slowly turn on my heel toward the voice. "...That's my name!" I act like I'm cheery, though I wish I never came here. I raise my head to see a fairly tall man, dressed in white and wearing what looked like a sailor hat. I trail my eyes down and look at the mug in his hand, a pink bunny, lovely. I shake my head. Judging by the way he was dressed compared to Lenalee, he was the leader of the order, or, something.
"This is my brother, leader of the Black Order, Komui Lee." Lenalee moved towards Komui. I blanked out when Lenalee said he was her brother. They looked nothing alike, Komui had short really dark purple hair, and Lenalee had long green hair tied back in pigtails. Basically, all I could do was nod. "I, see." I croak out.
"Ivory here got a little freaked out by Hevlaska." Lenalee chuckled a bit. I glare at the ground hearing her laugh, that wasn't something to laugh about, I was more scared than the time Cross put a knife to my throat. Komui gave a small huff of laughter. "Reminds me of Allen." He said. I raise my head, another exorcist, probably as annoying as Lenalee. "Who's Allen?" I stupidly questioned Komui, I gave a mental face palm. I didn't want him to answer that. "Allen Walker?" Lenalee spoke up. "He's another exorcist here, he kinda went through the same beginning as you did, the whole, mistaken for an akuma, Hevlaska freaking out thing." Lenalee explained a little too quickly. I raise my eyebrow at her, her cheeks were tinted light red and her eyes were closed cheerily. I shook my head again, she probably has a crush on this Allen Walker kid.
"Okay." I mumbled raising my eyebrows a bit. Lenalee was still swooning, Komui shook his head. "Lenalee, stop obsessing over Allen, I'll put a squid on his head again." He threatened. Lenalee gasped, way too over dramatically. "No! Komui!" She whacked him over the head. I rolled my eyes and turned to go discover more about the order, I turned on my heel, before I could walk forward, I smacked my nose off something hard. "Seriously..." I growl rubbing my nose. I backed up into the railing and glare at what I ran into.
"Watch where your walking damn it."
I ran into another exorcist. Great, one with a very bad attitude, I caught his eyesight. He had long blue hair, tied back into a pony tail, pretty long hair for a guy. I almost burst into a laugh until her glared down at me. "You deaf?" He barked at me. I straighten myself up and open my mouth to say something. "Kanda! Stop it! That's the new exorcist we've been expecting!" Lenalee took Komui's clipboard and whacked Kanda on the head. Kanda stumbled back and held his head. "Jeez Lenalee blame it on me, she should've watched where she was going." He grumbled glaring at me again. I clench my hands into a fist. "For an exorcist who is supposed to SAVE people you sure have a bad attitude." I say lowly.
"What was that shorty?" Kanda turned at me, hovering over me. My pupils dilated, I really hated being called short, it was something that stuck low with me. "Who are you calling short." I shot at Kanda. "You overgrown blueberry." I mumble. Lenalee came in-between us two. "Whoa whoa, we can't be starting fights now, right Kanda." Lenalee grit her teeth an looked at Kanda. Kanda roles his eyes huffed, turning on his heel. "Whatever." I keep my glare on Kanda. Lenalee turned around fully. "Wait! Don't you want to know her name at-" Kanda turned his head. "I don't care who she, how new she is, or how strong she is, I already don't like her." He said and then walked away.
I put my hand on my forehead and turned around, what a very nice welcoming. I had major second thoughts about coming here, I should complain to Cross. Maybe write him a strongly worded letter about what I experienced so far, then again. He won't care. That's Cross for you. I leaned myself over the railing, feeling sick to my stomach. I was about to kneel down when a hand touched my shoulder, I turn my head until I could see Lenalee in my peripheral vision. Lenalee gave a small smile. "Don't worry about Kanda, he's just a stubborn teenager." She reassured me. I huffed and turned around fully. "Would you like to come to the cafeteria?" She asked turning on her heel.
I thought for a second. "You know, I'm not really that-" At that moment my stomach made a loud growling noise. "Hungry." I whisper. Lenalee laughed a bit. "I guess that tells me you do...follow me." She said and walked off. I looked at Lenalee for a few seconds before trailing behind her. I guess she was right, I was starving more than hungry, I could eat as much as ten plates. Well, maybe not that much, but I could still eat alot.
Lenalee pushed open the doors and I was suddenly struck with a wave of yelling, eating exorcists. My eyes widened and I took in the area. There were people stuffing their faces, eating politely, throwing food at each other. You name it. Lenalee stared blankly and sighed. "It gets pretty hectic in here, just try not to get in peoples way..." She nudged me and looked at Kanda, who was sitting at a table alone, chowing down on what looked like ramen. I glare slightly and walk with Lenalee up to the stand. Lenalee looked at me. "You first." She smiled.
I look at Lenalee and shrug walking up to the counter. Uhm, hi." I start. I was interrupted when a cheery guy slapped the counter. "What can I get for ya sweetie?!" I jerk my head back at the man that yelled in my face. Lenalee sighed. "Jerry, don't scare the poor girl." She gave a small laugh. Jerry looked me. "Sorry missy." He said to me. I shake my head and put my hand up. "That's okay." I say. I look at the menu. "I'll have Au gratin potatoes, turkey legs, soba noodles, a chicken breast with gravy, fresh cut fries, and dango sticks, make that sixteen." I say all at once.
Lenalee looked at me wide eyed. "Wow, you eat as much as Allen does." She gives a laugh. I'm starting to hate being compared to this Allen, but I don't say anything. All I could say was, "I guess so." I shrug a little. Jerry handed me a very large tray. Mine and Lenalee's eyes widened. "Whoa." We both say. I shook my head and take the tray. "Thanks Jerry." I smile. "Any time chicky. " He waves.
I turn around and carry my tray towards a table, Lenalee gives me a look. "Do you need help?" She asks me. I shake my head in return. "Nope, I got it." I huff and trail more towards a table. "Now time to-"
"ALLEN WATCH OUT!" A voice yelled. I jump a little, I whipped around just in time to get smacked with a body, sending my food flying all over me.
