Road continued to smile devilishly at me. I wanted to hit her so badly. "Happy?" I clench my hands into a ball. Road laughed again and skipped around in a circle. "Why of course, why wouldn't I be happy to se-" Road stopped when she took a long look at what I was wearing, she had a look of disgust on her face. "Jeez that's a pretty, slutty outfit you got on." She spat at me. I rolled my eyes at her. "Whatever, I was working out." I grabbed the handle of my hammer.
Road grabbed my wrist suddenly, I gasp and try to pry my arm away. "Let go!" I yell. Road continued to stare at me smiling widely. "Would you ever hurt your mother?" She asked innocently. I growl loudly and jerk my arm forward, making Road release my wrist and stumble backwards. "I don't know, would I?" I ask with an innocent smile like Road's. Road growled loudly and stood up. "How dare you." She hissed at me. I stomp my foot. "NO HOW DARE YOU!" I yell loudly. "YOUR NOT EVEN A REAL-" I was cut off when my ears were filled with music. Road then started skipping around me constantly.
"Lord Millennium
Is in search of you,
Looking for the heart now.
Have you heard the news?
Maybe you stole it from him.
I'll see if it's true."
I let out a strained cry and I covered my ears. I never wanted to hear that song again, it was always sung to me when i was a little girl. It corrupted my mind until I was ten, when I ran away. "SHUT UP!" I scream getting on my knees. "Now sing along with me." Road bent down and whispered in my ear. I press my head to the concrete constantly sobbing, Road skipped around cheerfully continuing to hum the song.
I finally cracked and grabbed my hammer, standing up swinging at Road, I yelled out in anger and I opened my eyes. I froze, there was no one there. The room was back to normal, I stood there staring at nothing. "Ivory?!" Allen's voice filled my ears as he ran into the room, seeing me dazed. I look at Allen slowly, I was shaking, I was freezing. "I heard yelling, did anything happen?" He looked around. I really didn't want to tell him what I had just experienced, who knows how he would react. "Oh, it was just a bug, I hate them so I squished it....it caught me off guard." I mumbled.
Allen gave me a strange look, like he knew I was lying. I brushed it off and pushed past him. "Come on, I wanna get some sleep before leaving tomorrow." I say not looking over my shoulder. Allen trailed behind me and we walked back to our rooms. Before I walked into mine I was stopped. "Hey Ivory..." Allen started. I lower my head and sigh before turning around. "Yeah?" I say. "You know it's easy to tell when someone is lying, I'm good at seeing it." Allen told me before closing the door behind him.
I stood there processing what Allen said to me. He clearly saw that I lied to him, but I really didn't want to tell him that Road Kamelot is my mother. I would probably be kicked out of the order forever. I trailed into my room and closed the door, I let out a loud sigh as I trudged towards my bed, it was nothing special. I laid down on the mattress and pulled the covers over my head. "Just let it go." I whispered to myself as I tried to drift off to sleep
***
"Yo! Ivory! It's time to go!"
I heard Lavi kick open my door, I did not get any good sleep at all. I continued tossing and turning, Road's song continuing in my head. I was in a horrible mood, I really didn't want to be bothered. "Come on Lavi did you HAVE to wake me up like that?!" I growl sitting up, my hair a mess. Lavi gave a mischievous chuckle. "Oh come on, you'll get used to it." He said and he walked out. "ALLLLLEEEENNN!" I heard him yell as he kicked open his door.
I growled lowly again as I fumbled to get out of bed, I changed into my uniform and brushed my hair straight. "Don't screw this up Ivory. You want a good reputation." I told my reflection. I lowered my head, staring at the floor, looking up I nearly fell out of my seat. I saw Road's face, contorted into my figure. She was laughing at me. I jumped back almost letting out an ear piercing scream, Road tried to come through the mirror. "I'll get you, you'll see, I will get you." Her voice was whispery, and creepy. Then, she disappeared. I breathed heavily, holding my head tightly. "This isn't real, this isn't real...." I whispered to myself.
I stood up, almost falling over again. I held the wall for support until I regained my balance. I let out a deep sigh and I walked out. "Okay, lets go." I threw my hammer over my shoulder. Lavi and Allen were already heading out the door. "Or...just ignore me." I mumbled to myself. "See ya Komui!" I waved at him and left. "Extend!" I call and jump on the handle of my hammer, it extended until we got down to the ground. "Shrink." I mumbled and started walking.
"The train station should be close..." Lavi looked around. "Just follow me." By the looks of it, Lavi was automatically the leader of the group. I let out a quiet huff and stuck behind Lavi and Allen. Allen and I never spoke after what he told me last night, honestly, I really didn't want to talk to anybody after last night. I feel haunted, how did she find me? Does she have some tracker that can find me wherever I am?
"Hey there it is!" Allen pointed and called, snapping me back to reality. I look over their shoulders. "So it is." I shrug and start running over to the station. Lavi and Allen followed behind me, suddenly there was a young woman, she had the same coat as us. She was an exorcist, long purple hair, tied back in pigtails. She also had purple eyes that went with her hair.
"Hello, I'm Lavina Lee, I've been put on your team by my brother Komui."
