Don't Know What To Title This, But It's For Bae

It may have taken forever,

It may have taken so many times,

You may have said it a lot,

I may have asked a lot.

I finally understand.

Before, I would say I understand,

I truly understand now.

I've listened to you and seen your texts,

But I saw some old pictures,

I saw the old you, before my Bae,

I saw bitter happiness, 

You looked content but not comfortable.

Towards the time some pictures were posted,

Around the time I came about,

I saw a smile, I saw you, I saw my impact on you.

Granted it wasn't just me, I know I helped,

You've told me time and time again what I mean to you,

You've told me time and time again that I've helped,

I know now. I know what I mean to you,

And I don't know what to say,

I love you, that's where I'll start.

The majority of your life so far was without me,

I don't mind what you did in the past,

But, everything in the future for you, I do mind.

We may not have a wedding band or anything else,

But I love you a whole lot more than I thought possible.

I love you, and I can't wait for the rest of our lives together.
