Authors note: left the last one on a bit of a cliff hanger sorry! But don't worry, this next chapter is also staying in one POV so it will be less confusing! Hope you all really enjoy!!! Don't forget to vote and comment!
Elizabeth Graye's POV:
I'm bent over, a hand on my knee to support myself. I can barely breathe as all the wind has been knocked out of me. I haven't even seen the face of who it was, but I know it's the guy from earlier. He just pummelled his fist into my abdomen and begun smiling about it and laughing and out of the corner of my eye I see Zach step forwards and I can see his whole demeanour being engulfed by anger. I hold a single finger up at him and shake it, not even looking behind me. This is my fight and I don't need a goddamned boy to stand up for me, the rest of the boys know this and all grab his arms to restrain him and Charlie takes a few steps away. Everything and everyone has gone silent except the music, which is slowly dying down. Everyone begins to move back and they form a circle around me the bastard who just punched me.
"Zach, don't get involved in this trust me, she has this." Charlie warns, sticking a hand out in front of him. At this gesture even he begins to move back .
"Yeah bro, let her handle it." I hear Joe mutter under his breath. I slowly stretch my way up from my crouched over position and look this guy straight in the eye. Rage pulsates over me as I take a step towards the brute, he notices the anger and takes a step back before I have him directly in the centre if the circle that has somehow formed.
"I'm assuming that was meant for me?" I question him, nostrils flaring.
"Well yeah, little miss English..." He responds, looking me up and down. This infuriates me further, I can hear a gasp come from Charlie and I know she's just shaking her head.
"Well at least you aren't sexist I guess...Why so?" I ask, a small smirk appearing on my face before I quickly make it vanish. I'm about three inches away from his face.
"Because your boyfriend over there pissed me off!" He fights back, as if it's a reasonable excuse.
"I'm not surprised you're using that much of a pathetic excuse, I guess this is coming from a guy who punches a girl," I am less than an inch away from his face. "and doesn't even ask her name first." I hiss at him, loud enough for everyone to still hear. He begins stuttering as I am so close to his face, I can see him gulp even though he tried to hide it. I begin to speak again. "I've got a few things to say to you. First of all, that boy over there," I point towards Zach and then turn back to the beast in front of me, "is not my boyfriend. You didn't ask that first either did you?" I narrow my eyes and go even closer to his face, my voice gaining volume on every word. "Second of all, I don't think I actually caught your name?" I say, a small smile inches it's way across my face as I watch him stutter.
"T-T-Thomas..." He mutters. I begin to laugh and I look up and chuckle, I then sigh in sympathy for him.
"Ah, Thomas, third of all, unlike you when I'm pissed off with someone, I tend to sort it out with them not with someone I assume to be their partner. Because unlike you Thomas," I elongate his name just for effect as I lean towards his ear. "I'm not a coward!" I growl into his ear and as I say the last word I grab his shoulders and smash my knee between his legs. He collapses as he wails in pain, but I still keep my hands firmly planted on his shoulders. He's at waist height for me now rather than towering over me, as I bend down to his face again. "And lastly, next time you punch a girl do it like this." I spit my words at him as I coil my arm back and hook my fist into the side of his jaw, leaving him squirming on the floor. "You almost broke your hand last time..." I call over my shoulder as I strut away from him and catch the beer bottle that's just dropped from Zach's hand. I slide onto the edge of a table and down the bottle as I watch everyone cheer and then go back to their own activities. I can see a couple of guys dragging Thomas outside and I smirk to myself, stupid college idiot. That's what you get for punching me when I'm already pissed off. And that's what I meant by parties have distractions.
