George Moore's POV:

We're sat in the office, sat only centimetres a part. I could kill him. My sister? Really of all people? My twin sister?

Does he not remember what happened last time? Did he not realise that she was off bounds? Did he not understand that?

I turn my head to look at him, his eye is so huge it can't open, his mouth is bleeding and his nose is bleeding as well. A large bruise is protruding on his cheekbone, but he seems calm. Not angry, or in pain, just content.

"So. Boys, would you care to explain what happened?" The principle asks politely as he sits in his chair. Neither of us answer, we both remain utterly silent. "I mean there's no use in pretending it didn't happen, it very clearly did, it is literally all over your face." He remarks.

"It was my fault." Max says after some silence.

"You're not lying." I snorted, wincing in pain.

"Seriously? You're still going to be sour about this? Was hitting me six times in the face not enough for you?" He retorts, turning to face me. The damage looks even worse, I feel a slight pang of guilt until the anger overrides it.

"You deserved double that amount!" I shout at him.

"Mr. Moore! Watch it young man, you do not want to make this worse for yourself. I assume you initiated the fight, Mr Moore?" He asks casually after the scolding.

Neither of us respond again, I look down in shame as I come to terms with what I did to Max. But I'm still angry, I'm still blinded with fury at what he did to my sister.

"I'm assuming neither of you would like to tell me why this fight happened in the first place, either?" He asks rhetorically. We both remain quiet. "Well I'm assuming the two ladies will be happy to explain what happened, so if you wouldn't mind waiting outside whilst I ask them to come and explain your rash actions." He starts to stand up.

"You don't realise how much I care about her." Max says quietly. This causes the principle to slowly sit back in his chair, he knew how we'd respond and this is what he wants, us to explain. To talk it through.

"What about me?" I say back, actually curious to know the answer.

"George you're my best friend, literally the closest friend to me. But, she's...everything man." He says slowly, breathing heavily.

"So this was over a girl?" The principle raises an eyebrow.

"My sister to be exact. Someone who you already knew was off bounds!" I start to raise my voice again.

"Yeah and look how well that punching frenzy turned out, I'm still with her!" He shouts back.

"Max, George. Please stop shouting. Is this the same reason as the last punch up between you two?" He asks quietly.

"Yes. But George can't you see how much I care for her that I would even go behind my best friend's back to be with her? Can't you see how I feel about her?" He says to me, looking me in the eye.

"Did you ever stop to think how I would feel? I'm your best friend, that's my sister and you betrayed me!" I say, surprised by the upset in my voice.

"Jesus Christ! Can't you hear how ridiculous you sound? Betrayed? It's stupid! Did you ever think how damned stupid it was to ban me from the one girl I've ever had proper feelings for?" He starts laughing. We both start hurling insults at one another, until the principle stands up and slams the desk.

"STOP SHOUTING! I do not want to have to raise my voice! You two are old enough now to realise that this is childish behaviour, this bickering. I have one simple question for you both, did you ever stop to think about how Charlotte may have felt about this?" He asks sternly, I look down.

Shit. I guess I didn't think what she may want, I guess I never thought she would like any of my friends...I guess I thought she wouldn't like anyone ever, she's remain my innocent twin...

Charlie Moore's POV:

We hear it, everytime they raise their voices. We hear it. After some quiet discussion that neither Liz or I can hear, we hear footsteps coming toward the door. As it breaks open I see George walk straight out and down the hall, he doesn't even turn back to look at me. I wait in anticipation to see the mop of hair that belongs to Max, as he strides out of the office I instantly stand up. I walk briskly towards him and hug him, his face still bleeding and eye still swollen. I feel his warm arms wrap around me.

"Okay you two, stop the hugging. What's the punishment prescribed Max?" Liz asks curiously from behind me.

"Three days of exclusion for fighting, George has a week and then two more weeks of detention for starting the fight...and well, you know." He looks down to his knuckles. I hold them in my own hands as I put my head to his chest and apologise for my brother.

"You're an idiot you know that?" I said into his tshirt.

"Believe it or not you're not the first Moore to say that to me." He says as he kisses the top of my head.

"Ladies, if you would please come inside. I would like to talk about your perspective on the situation." The principle says as Max begins to walk away to the nurse to get his face cleaned up. Liz follows me in as we both sit down.

Elizabeth Baker's POV:

We both seat ourselves in the chairs opposite the desk. The principle seems calm.

"So, I know what sparked the fight. I want to know what exactly your involvement was Ms. Baker." He states simply.

"I saw George hitting Max, repeatedly in the face. I ran over to him and shook him to stop." I say, not wanting to say the rest.

"So you wouldn't have anything to do with the once dislocated shoulder that was then popped back into place would you?" He asks with his eyebrows risen.

"He hit me when I shook him, it was mere defence of me and my friend." I state firmly.

"Defence? I can understand, he seemed rather angry. However Ms Baker, this is now the second physical fight you've been involved in since the school year began, both being involvements of defence. You've also, yesterday, had a shouting match with a Mr Graye. This is not your usual behaviour, is there anything you'd like to tell me?" He asks, wanting some backstory.

"No sir, Zach hurt my feelings brutally however it is sorted now," I lie "and the fights were mere defence as I was not certain where they begun." I say casually.

"Right. Well, considering this is the second physical fight you've been in I will have to exclude you for a day, tomorrow. That's all I need from you, you may leave Ms Baker." He gestures toward the door. I get up and follow his direction of gesture.

Charlie Moore's POV:

"Ms Moore, I am not here to scold you. I simply want to know how you feel?" His eyes seem kind.

"I'm fine thank you sir, the whole situation may solve itself now." I respond politely.

"Well, I just wanted to say if there's any trouble with those boys you must let staff know so issues like this don't happen again. And not to mention, you must think for yourself in this situation. Max and George both described the predicament and the only advice I may offer is to decide for yourself and your own wishes, no one else's. No one can get angry at you for making your own choice." He explains.

"Thank you sir, I know my decision and have done for some while, but thank you all the same." I say as I begin to stand up and walk toward the door.

"You may join Max in the nurses office." Is the last thing he says as I skip down the hall to where max awaits.
