Sherlock took out his phone and immediately called Mycroft. "Are you at home?", Sherlock asked him frantically. "Of course not. I'm in London working. Why?", Mycroft replied. "Get to the house now! We'll meet you there", Sherlock told him and hung up. Officers had arrived while Sherlock was on the phone and had taken Emmanuel with them. Lestrade, John, and Sherlock ran out, got in a police vehicle, and raced to Mycroft's estate. They arrived and cautiously surveyed the area before quietly opening the front door. It was clear as soon as they entered that they were already too late.
Blood was splattered and soaking into the carpet near the bodies of three guards who had each been shot near the entrance. They ran into each room of the first floor yelling for Molly and Charlotte, but there was no answer. Mycroft arrived with officers and paramedics in tow, and entered the house in shock. He saw Sherlock, John, and Lestrade as they continued upstairs in their search and followed them. They saw three more guards dead in front of the door to the large guest room Molly had been using while staying there. "In here", Sherlock called out, and walked through the open doorway.
Sherlock's face showed a sudden devastation that terrified the others. They ran to the doorway to look as well. Molly was lying on the floor completely motionless, and badly beaten. They all rushed over to her and John checked her vitals, "She's breathing!". "Molly. Molly, can you hear me?", John asked her. Molly twitched and her swollen eyes started to open. "John? Sherlock? Janine!...Janine let them in...she just stood there while they killed them all...all the guards", Molly gasped. "The girls...in the closet...Oh God, are they ok?", she cried. Sherlock grabbed her face in his hands. "It's ok, Molly...everything's fine", he lied. Tears formed in Sherlock's eyes. He couldn't bear to look at her battered face any longer. Sherlock glared into Lestrade's eyes, "Get her out of here now!". Lestrade called for the paramedics, and Sherlock looked to the closet.
Mycroft had already opened it and was holding Charlotte's bunny that he'd found sitting within and was staring at it silently. "Are they there?", John asked Mycroft in a panic, but didn't wait around for the answer. He ran to the closet. All that was there were a few boxes and a mess of papers on the floor. "No", John screamed, "Rosie!", and collapsed to the floor. Sherlock had started to walk to the closet as well, but had gotten distracted by a small spot of blood on the floor in the center of the room. He got down to study it closely. Mycroft walked over and crouched down next to him. Sherlock looked at Mycroft who was already aware of what he was going to say: "Charlotte". They stared in anger when Sherlock suddenly had a thought: "But why did she leave the closet?".
Sherlock ran to the closet and looked at the boxes on the floor and the mess of papers. "Oh, you clever girl!", he cried. He pushed the small shoe boxes out of the way and grabbed the box behind them, which had a few holes ripped into it. The soft cries of a baby waking were heard as Sherlock opened the top. Inside was the smiling face of Rosie who seemed to have just awoken from her nap on the soft blanket placed neatly beneath her. Sherlock picked her up, and John ran and took her from him. "Oh, Thank God!", John cried in utter relief holding her tightly.
Mycroft was still staring at the spot where Charlotte had been dragged away and Sherlock and him met eyes. "What now?", John asked. Sherlock answered with one word, while still looking at his brother, "Sherrinford". "What? No! That's not possible! It's secure!!", Mycroft protested. "Is there any place that's ever truly secure from Eurus?", Sherlock asked his brother. Mycroft stood speechless for a moment and then picked up his phone. He tried to contact Sherrinford, but there was no answer. John handed Baby Rosie to Lestrade, who assured him that he'd protect her with his life. "Greg?", Sherlock called out before Lestrade was about to leave with Rosie, "Look after Molly for me, please". "Of course", he told him and then left for the hospital with Rosie in hand. Mycroft called for a helicopter and it soon landed nearby. They got in with several special ops officers and took off, once again, for Sherrinford.
