"Oh honey, you're home," I heard my mom say. I nodded and put down my backpack. "I need you to pick out a dress for a party we're going tonight. Also, wear makeup this time. I need you to be perfect since we're going to the Jeon's," my mom told me. I nodded again and walked to my room. The only time my mom has a normal conversation with me is when I need to be pretty or do what she wants. If I don't do what she wants, she hits me. It's usually not on the face since she doesn't want scratches on my face. It's usually on my legs so I would wear leggings or stuff. I went through my closet until I found a nice dress.I got this dress when I was 14 but it still fits me. I haven't worn it in awhile so I decided on this dress. My mom told me we needed to be out of the house by 6:30 and it was already 5:10 so I took a shower. After I took a shower, I put on the dress and started putting on my makeup. I applied my foundation and powder like normal but I put on a darker lipstick color. It was dark red and I used more eyeshadow. I usually do light makeup is I put just a little more makeup on this time. I looked at the time. It was 5:55.
"Ok, I will let you roam around but do not embarrass our family," my dad said. I nodded and my mom added," I need you to put this bracelet on. You need more jewelry so put it on". My mom held up a beautiful bracelet. It had diamonds on it an it looked so expensive. I slipped it on and it fit perfectly.
Finally, our driver arrived at the Jeon's house. I stepped out of the car and waited for my mom and dad. As we walked into the house, my parents were greeted by friends. I excused myself and went to find Eunbi and Sumin. I walked around but I couldn't find them. I sighed and just walked until I found a balcony. I walked out and felt the breeze hit my face. It felt so nice. I walked over to the ledge and saw I was high up. If I fell, I wouldn't survive this fall. How does it feel to just fall? Ending all your worries in one easy motion.
"If I was you, I would've killed myself just so I don't hear everyone compliment me everyday."
Sumin's words rang through my head. What if I just end my worries here? Slowly, I put one foot on the ledge. It was a little high but I didn't mind. Also, the ledge was thick so I wasn't walking on a tightrope. I put my other foot on, now I'm standing on the ledge. I looked around at the beautiful city. I just stood there, feeling the breeze flow through my dress. It felt calming, almost like I had nothing to worry about.
Suddenly, I felt arms wrap around my waist. I fell down onto the floor, my elbow harshly hitting the tiles of the balcony. I looked up, only for my eyes to meet with a boy's. Who was he?
