When I walked to school, I couldn't smile. I couldn't smile no matter what. I'm going to the last place I ever saw her. My sister died at this school, yet I'm going back to it. Ever since my sister's death, I resented our school so much. Not as much as I resented my parents.

When I got to school, I ignored everyone's comment. I opened my locker and took out some of my books. I was too engrossed in my thoughts that I didn't heard anything anyone was saying. I slammed by locker shut and walked to class. "Hey Soyeon-ah. I like your hair". I turned around and saw Youngmin. "Oh, hi Youngmin," I said as I brushed my newly black hair. Youngmin saw my gloomily expression and asked," Everything alright?" I just shrugged and walked to class, leaving Youngmin standing there by himself.

"Hey Snow White, you alright," Eunbi said as I sat at my seat. She was referring to my hair. I always dyed my hair back to its original color when this day comes. Sometimes I keep it, sometimes I dye it back because my mom doesn't want me to have black hair. I shook my head. "Don't worry Yeonnie, we're here and don't forget that," Sumin said as she pulled the three of us into a hug.

~Time Skip~

The bell had just rang, signaling that it was time for lunch. Eunbi, Sumin and I collected our things and headed out. We weren't heading for the cafeteria, we were heading for the rooftop. We do this every year. Eunbi slowly opened the door as we reached the top step. We stepped out onto the rooftop and headed for the ledge. I rested my forearms on the ledge while Eunbi and Sumin stood next to me. "Promise me that you won't follow in your sisters' footsteps this one time," Eunbi told me. I didn't answer.

We spent about 10 minutes up there and then went down. In those 10 minutes, tears wouldn't stop falling. By the time we got to the cafeteria, I was able to stop myself from crying. As we entered the cafeteria, we heard Samuel calling out for us. The three of us sat down with Youngmin, Daehwi, Samuel and Woojin. "Soyeon, why does it like like you've been crying?" Was the first thing Daehwi asked when we got to their table. Sumin slapped him on the arm, shushing him. "No, it's fine Sumin. They should know," I said quietly.

"It's because my-" I could only get those three words out until a single tear roll down my cheek. I hung my head low. "Today was the day her sister died. She died 3 years ago," Eunbi finished. Youngmin pulled me into his embrace when he saw my tears. He pulled out and lifted my chin. He swiped his thumb over my cheek, brushing the tears away. "You know, you still look really pretty when you cry," he whispered. I chuckled slightly and heard someone clear their throat.

"You know we're still here, right?"

"Way to ruin the mood Woojin," Samuel said as he rolled his eyes.

After 5 minutes of me cooling off, I started telling them about my sister. "Her name was Seoyoung. She was 16, supposed to be turning 19 today. Today is her birthday," I stopped for a second before continuing," And her death day". I didn't notice that tears were streaming down my face until I felt Youngmin brush away the tears again. "If you want to see a picture of her, this was the last one that was taken of her. This was one of my favorite pictures of her," and I took out a photo I was keeping in my pockets.

"Wow, she's really pretty," Daehwi said

"Wow, she's really pretty," Daehwi said. I nodded and told them," Even thought we barely look alike, everyone knew we were related. It's like we looked like siblings without even having to look a like". I put the photo back into my pocket after they looked at it for awhile. "How'd she die?" Woojin asked. My head hung low and I didn't bother to lift it. "She died here. Jumped from the rooftop," and at that point, I couldn't hold back any of my tears. Youngmin pulled me into his arms and let my head rest on his shoulder. "Don't worry Soyeon, I'm here for you," he whispered into my ear.

"Always"

Sorry if this was so boring!

Do you prefer longer chapters or shorter chapters? Also, are you all ok with me using oppa, noona, etc. in the book? Because I am Korean so I'm used to using those words but if you all find it cringy, I can stop using them in the story.

Edit: Thank you so much for 10k views!!! I never thought that I would be able to reach 10k. This wouldn't be possible without you all, thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️
