I woke up, and, when I looked at the mirror this morning, it looked like I slept through an earthquake and bunch of debris. My clothes from yesterday still rested on top of the lid of the laundry basket inside the closet. As I saw them, I decided it'd be better is I took a bath. It's Sunday, after all. What better day is there?
I turned on the faucet and poured the bubble bath liquid. I watched the foam overflow from the tub and, when it was full already, I jumped in and felt the soothing water blanket around me. I applied soap on my sensitive skin, and spread the shampoo all over my hair. I rinsed it with a short shower and enjoyed the rest of the bath, laying back and closing my eyes. Baths are really nice, aren't they?
After that, I got dressed and had some breakfast. I received a message from Ty, asking if I was doing fine. I replied shortly with, "Yeah," and an emoticon. He followed after with, "I had fun yesterday. Let's go again sometime." I left the phone on the counter and didn't answer back, not wanting to tell him that I got grounded. When I'm grounded, I'm grounded. Period.
Mom came downstairs and asked for the car keys. "I have to go somewhere for like an hour."
I pointed to the microwave; the keys were there, I noticed, while I was making breakfast. She snatched them and took off.
She reminded, "Remember, you're grounded. Besides, the forecast said that it was gonna rain. Stay here." She got inside the car and sped off.
There wasn't anything much to do, aside from texting Tyrone. I was about to do just that, until...
