Mr. Jonathan Axel Reed was riding shotgun, while his sister drove her Hyundai down the highway. His wife, tired, was resting at the back, supposedly because of mainly two reasons. One, her work was bringing her down, and two, her blood rushed angrily through her veins, since it's stressful to be sitting near her boss/sister-in-law.

"Why not get some fast food from the drive-thru?" he proposed, turning to her. "There's a McDonald's up ahead."

His wife eyed him with stares that can kill. She gestured to his sister, telling him silently that she had a bigger authority over her. "Oh," he whispered, but it was audible enough for her to hear.

"You know what?" she muttered, inching the wheel to the right. "Why not? We can make a pit stop or two, before we arrive at LA."

The minivan rolled down the gas station and parked in front of the restaurant. She pulled on the handbrake and questioned, "Anyone wanna go to the restroom?"

"I think I'm okay," Mrs. Reed said, trying to show courtesy.

"Okay. Joey, go get us something to eat. I'll stay here with her," she instructed him, giving thirty bucks as payment.

She unlock her seatbelt, all panicked, announced, "On second thought, I'll go to the restroom."

"You know what?" she repeated. "I'll go with you. I changed my mind, too."

"But the car―." She was cut off by her terrifying demeanor. The two women slowly headed to the restroom, leaving Jonathan behind to lock the doors and buy some brunch.

Just now, he extracted his phone from his coat. He had noticed the faint vibrations it emitted, but he was unable to answer in time. By then, he couldn't get any signal to call Martin back, which was strange, since it's rare to not get a signal around these places. the log was full of calls, all from the same guy.

He gave his order and walked out with a greasy bag and some change. After tossing it inside the vehicle and checking for the girls, he tried to call him again. Still he couldn't connect. He left him a message.

He had questioned himself, as to why he keeps on aiding a normal student to settle his romantic problems, despite knowing that he may have zero possibilities with his love interest. Yet again, and again, he finds the same answer.

He's definitely not normal. He's something else.

What's his problem now? Oh, yeah. He has a date with Zoey. Maybe he isn't doing well. Haha.

The girls came back now. They took quite some time to finish up. They resumed with their voyage and ate their burgers on the go.
