Act XXXIV

"I've been feeling tired lately, so I slept on Mom's bed. I don't want Martin to see like this from the window, troubled, if anything.

"I dreamt of something different this time. It worries me a lot, and it felt like an eternity, that dream.

"Martin, Ty, and Rocky, they were there. All three of them. They were fighting over something, but it's very unclear. I came closer to them, and I heard my name between some lines. I was unable to make out the rest. It was like they were speaking in a foreign tongue, a language I don't know about.

"Then, Rocky took out some scissors out of nowhere. Martin and Ty had their fists tight, as if they fended for themselves. The very next thing that happened, Rocky was on the ground, unarmed, and this was unexpected. After that, the two victors turned against each other and fought, trying to read the other's next move and imitating it. I can't tell if it's on purpose.

"It was getting really serious, so I unconsciously stood in their way. I also unconsciously spoke their alien language, me unable to comprehend even myself. They stopped, I think, and my dream ended there. I don't remember anything else.

"It's been a while since I had a bad dream. The last time I had one was months ago, when I first moved here. It was about Dad; you can see it on an earlier log, recorded in repeat. It stopped when Martin―.

"Him again. I had a bad feeling about him, like something might happen to him. I owe him a great debt, but I don't feel so sure...

"I should stop writing now. This may be a journal, but it's a dream journal, not a diary. It still isn't night, I recently just woke up, and yet I feel tired, like my body is still tingling from that incident many days ago.

"There are many things I need to do. I haven't had a bite out of anything since midday.

"That's all for now. Zoey."
