Chapter Two
The minute the bell rings, I tear out of the school like it will catch on fire at any second. In my haste to get to my car, I completely missed the looming figure that was standing in front of me.
"Oomf!" I had no idea who made that noise, me or him.
"I'm so sorry!" I quickly apologize, finally looking up to see who the poor person was that I had run into.
It was none other than him. Once again our eyes lock, the surrounding area seems to fade away, and it was as if it was just us two, no one else. Trying to recover whatever dignity I might still have left, I close my gaping mouth and avert my eyes. But I can still feel his eyes on me.
"You," he breathes, almost too quiet for me to hear.
I gulp, "I gotta go, sorry." I brush past him at lightning speed.
Throwing my stuff into my Mercedes, I don't even bother to put the top down, I just want to get out of here as quickly as possible. Stepping on the gas, I zoom out of the parking lot.

The longest twenty minutes later, I pull into the brass gates of my home. Pulling up to the house, I notice a shiny red Ferrari parked in the drive way. Oh joy, visitors. Who could possibly be over when both of my parents are out of the country?
I turn my car off, throw my backpack over my shoulder, and hand the keys to our own personal valet. I give him a smile and nod, before heading inside.
Walking into the front foyer of our house, I don't hear any loud conversations, and no old ladies are kissing my cheeks, telling me I've grown so much since they last saw me. Cautiously, I put my backpack down next to the door, knowing that Gerry, the butler, would take it to me room eventually. I creep towards the guest living room and peek my head around the corner. No one was there. I creep to the family living room and peek around the corner. No one is there either. Thinking of the only other place any visitors would be at, I creep stealthily to the dining hall. Upon entering the dining hall, no one was there either.
Dumbfounded, I stare into the dining hall, almost as if I was waiting for someone to just appear out of thin air. Who's car was here? Maybe they're off talking to Lillian or Gerry or someone else. Shrugging my shoulders, I compose myself and head upstairs to my room.
Opening my double doors that lead into my room, I'm greeted with a large bouquet of Irises, my favorite flowers. And holding the Irises, seemed to be khaki pants and Sperry's.
"Miss me?" came a voice from behind the flowers.
Instantly, I knew who it was, but before I could say anything, a head pops around the flowers.
"Harrison!" I squeak. He puts the flowers down on my coffee table just in time to catch me jumping into his arms. He kisses the top of my head softly as I burry my head into his chest. Breathing him in, I try to fight the tears of happiness that were threatening to spill down my cheeks.
After a few minutes of just holding each other we pull away and look at each other. I take him all in. He was looking clean cut as ever. A navy blue sweater, khaki's and Sperry's. Typical Hampton boy. "I've missed you so much! What are you doing here? You're off early!" I squeal, the kind of annoying girlish squeal that makes you want to stab little children.
He just laughs and pulls me over to my love seat. "Let's just say there was a slight 'accident', you could call it, in the main teaching building, and they started spring break early," he chuckles.
