Truth

I froze when i heard what she told me. The girl whom i only spoke to yesterday just revealed to me that she's immortal and she killed my cousin.

"I had no choice.", she rubbed her eyes and pretended like she wasn't tearing a few seconds ago.

She could have prevented it and ignored his request but she went with it anyways. Why would she do that? Why did she agreed to do just as he says? That when i knew... She loved him.

"There are a lot of questions in your mind and some of them you've answered yourself. Just like Ty, i was in love for the first time and it turns out that i've driven him insane."

I closed my eyes trying my best to hear what she was thinking but i failed. I want to be able to know what can i do to make this situation better.

"Why can't I read your mind...?", i asked.

"You need training and I'm going to help you with it. Are your parents at home?", she asked.

I nodded and she said, "Perfect. Introduce me to them."

"Woah! What? They might think we're dating."

She gave me a weird look and replied, "Is there anything wrong with that? I need to train you to control all those voices in your head."

"You're the weirdest girl i've ever met."

"It's because i'm the only girl you've ever interracted with."

I pointed my finger up trying to make a comeback but she rolled her eyes and walked past me...

I went back home with Aelia and introduced her to my parents and they continuously teased me and invited her to dine with us. Which brings me to a complicated situation, as we were eating dinner, mother kept asking Aelia about me...

"So, how did he approach you?"

"Oh, he was shy at first but i made him feel comfortable afterwards. He really is a kindhearted guy."

"More like uncomfortable..."

"I heard that. Any ways, this is your first task, i know you can hear both of your parent's mind. Try to concentrate only on one mind. Start off with your father because your mother's mind is like a rapid fire questionnaire. Close off unnecessary voices in your head and concentrate on your father's voice."

I closed my eyes and tried to block my mother's thoughts. It was very hard and i couldn't do it.

"I can't do it!"

"You can and you will, Christopher. How about, pretend that we're star gazing and close your eyes as if you're connecting with the stars. I want you to connect and listen carefully to only one mind."

I tried doing exactly what she said and i did. I closed my eyes and imagine the stars up above connecting with me and how pretty they are. I tried to concentrate on 1 star at a time and there i was connected to it, my father's weird mind.

"Don't tell me my boy's not a virgin anymore..."

I chocked on my own saliva and was coughing. My parents both stared at me and Aelia was giggling. My mother handed me a glass of water and my father gave me a weird expression on his face. I gave my father a weird smile back.

"Aelia, have both of you...", my father asked.

"ROBERT.", my mother fought back.

"Mr Gnaut, i appreciate your concern for Christopher but we haven't. We're too young and Christopher understands it. Don't you, Chris?"
