I couldn't sleep at all and it was 2am in the morning. Luckily it was a Sunday... I sneaked out of my house and ran off to Ty's house instead.
"Psst, Ty! Wake up!"
I threw rocks at Ty's bedroom window and then i saw his sleepy face. "What are you doing here?!"
"I need you now. It's an emergency."
Ty quickly changed and sneaked out of the house. "Someone sent a message to my mom and said Aelia's house was on fire. I tried communicating with her and failed."
"Then, let's go there now!", Ty ran off and 10 minutes later, we appeared at the hillside. To my surprised, it wasn't on fire. I knocked on the door and no one answered. I turned the handle and it was unlocked. Ty was walking beside me and said, "I have a bad feeling about this."
"Aelia? Are you here?", i shouted and no answer. Instead the front door went shut and we were on guard. Someone's here and there it was. The stranger with the white robe and white mask standing on the hallway.
"Pleased to meet you once again."
"Who is she?", Ty asked.
"She...?", i asked Ty.
"Yeah, it's no mistake that's a girl. The way she walks and moves.", Ty said.
"Such a clever one. Any who, I came here to deliver a message to you."
"You sent the text to my mom. What have you done to Aelia?!", i asked the hooded stranger and i tried to read her mind but it was blocked by a ward.
"No use in reading my mind as his majesty casted a spell to prevent you from reading it. His majesty got tired of waiting and he wants the blood in 2 days."
"Got tired of waiting?! It's been a couple of hours!", i spat back.
"Yes, but his majesty don't like waiting. In 2 days, you decide the faith of your friend."
"You said it was my decision to deal with you and what if i choose not to?!", i questioned her.
"Once you laid hands on that bottle, you knew you were interested in the deal.", she spoke back and dissapeared into thin air.
"What was she talking about? What bottle? Chris, talk to me.", Ty asked.
I stayed in the manor and explained what had happened and the blood. "Whose blood are you going to take?"
"I don't know... She said a drop of blood."
"Your blood...?"
"It can't be that easy..."
"Could it be mine?"
I stared at Ty and gave him a strict answer, "No. Not you."
"Come on Chris... It's just a single drop and we'll have Aelia back in no time.", Ty said.
"Why are you so persistent in saving Aelia...", i asked and he gave me a soft smile.
"She reminds me of my late mother and come on, she wanted to die... So, i'll do anything not to let her die. Besides, i see the way you stare at her."
I stared and I was speechless. Then Ty smiled. "If you love her, then i'll do anything to save her."
That exact moment, i read Ty's mind "Atleast, he's happy for once."
"Ty, how do you know if you truly love someone?", i asked.
"Well, you think of them every single day without fail, your heart skips a beat when you're around them and --"
