Aelia couldn't believe her eyes but she didn't move to hug him or anything, she instead teared up.
"Don't waste your tears on me, Aelia."
"Fabio... Why did you pass me your powers?", i demanded an answer.
"You need them to protect her.", he pointed to Aelia and gave her a soft smile.
"You lied. You made me kill you for no apparent reason. I never once read your mind and i thought you would --"
"My dear Aelia, i apologise for lying to you and also reading your mind the entire time when we were together. How beautiful and innocent you were. However, you didn't kill me for no apparent reason. I was actually turning insane as time flew by and i didn't want to live a life with you being this insane monster that i was."
"It's impossible for a binder to turn insane unless something powerful affected them.", Aelia replied him. I was just listening to their conversation for the details.
"My love, that was what happened to me. Something powerful affected me and it was eating up my mind. You see, Binders develop one more special ability."
I looked at Aelia and couldn't believe what i heard. "Binders have 2 abilities?"
"That's right, Christopher. One is reading someone's mind and the other depends on the binder. Every binder has different ability but i develop none."
"Then, what affected you?", Aelia asked.
"It happened years before i met you... I made a deal and i was prepared for the consequences but i didn't think that it was going to happen so soon."
"What deal?!", she screamed.
"I wanted to become a binder."
"Become a binder...? Then, what were you?", i asked but before he was finished, Aelia let go of her palm on my bracelet and Fabio was gone. I was in dissaray and stared at Aelia. She looked very different than the Aelia i know. She covered her face with her hands and i heard a crack on her face. I literal crack like a ceramic pot cracked.
She pulled out a piece of her cracked skin and she stared at me in horror. I was scared and as if i was seeing a porcelain doll's face cracked.
"Sorry you had to see this.", she crept closer to me and i quickly backed away from her.
"Christopher, it's still me. I'm still Aelia Pryse, please you have to believe me."
"Your face is cracking. What -- what are you?", i was horrified by her and i wanted to run away but i need to know what was she.
"This is my second ability. I'm able to glamour myself into someone that i wish to be."
Hearing those words, i wanted to run away but there was something about her that made me stay. "All these years..."
"Christopher, you don't know how long i have been glamouring myself. My emotions is the reason why i glamoured myself in the first place."
She started to peel off the cracked skin on her face and revealed all her scars. She didn't have green eyes instead both of her eyes were white. She had scratches on her cheeks and her forehead and don't get me wrong, she still looked like herself but she looked devastated.
I came closer to her and studied all the scratches on her face. It turns out that those scratches was of her doing. "You're depressed."
She smiled and her white eyes gave me a chill but i know she was still there with me. "I've been depressed ever since my mother left me."
