Jericho did her best to sneak quietly down the stairs on her way to the kitchen. She had been unable to sleep for the past hour despite the plush bedroom she had been given. Once things had settled down they had all gathered in the living room to determine who would have to share a room. After all there were eight of them and only seven bedrooms. The boys were more than prepared to share giving her and Jordan their own rooms, but in the end they had all gotten their own rooms. When they had all gone searching for Louis and Autumn who had disappeared from the party halfway in they found them cuddled up in Autumn’s room fast asleep. It had actually been pretty cute. Plus it meant Louis and Autumn would be the ones sharing a room together. Jericho had to agree that Niall had been right. If they weren’t dating now they would be soon. She crept into the kitchen and bumped into something tall and solid causing her to jump.

“Oi!” a familiar male voice called out. “Who is it?”

“Niall?” she asked flipping on the kitchen light and blinking up at the Irish boy in front of her. “What are you doing down here?”

“Came for a snack,” he said indicating the tray he was carrying that was piled high with snacks of all kinds.

“Did you clean out the fridge?” Jericho asked with a laugh.

“I’m pretty sure I left something in there,” Niall said with a smile.

“Are you willing to share your snack? I came down for something as well.”

“Sure,” he said carrying the food into the living room as she followed. “How is your ankle feeling?”

“Much better since the ice pack and the aspirin. Plus the fact that I wasn’t allowed to walk on it all night helped some.” Niall blushed at her remark. He had felt so guilty that their fans had hurt the girls that he had insisted on carrying Jericho everywhere the entire night. He had even carried her up to bed and tucked her in.

“Should you be up and walking on it?”

“The doctor said it was a lightly twisted ankle. It’s not broken or anything like Jordan’s hand.” Jericho felt bad that Jordan had felt the brunt of the super fans earlier today. Thankfully all the boys had signed her cast the minute the doctor had finished with her. Jericho was pretty sure Jordan had plans to mount it by her bed once the doctor finally removed it.

“I’m glad you’re feeling better. So do you always come down late at night for a snack?”

“Honestly? I just couldn’t sleep. I think I’m still getting used to not being at home.”

“I know what you mean. I still get homesick from time to time. It’s nice having my friends here, but they’re not my family.” Jericho smiled happy that someone finally got it. Sure, she wanted a new start, but that didn’t mean she didn’t miss her family. Niall sat down and patted the couch cushion next to him. “Sit down and tell me more about yourself.”

“There’s really not that much to tell,” Jericho said nervously.

“Who’s your favorite member of One Direction?” Niall asked innocently. For some reason he couldn’t explain, her answer was incredibly important to him.

“Harry,” she said as she opened a package of crisps. She munched on one before turning to look at Niall. “Is something the matter?” she asked around a mouthful of crisps.
