[AN: I would dedicate this chapter to WolfGirlDream for making me a book cover for this story, but I have yet to see it. That's right. I want my book cover because I'm too incompetent to make my own. There will also be a sequel to this story. So I will need a cover for that one too once I decide on the title. Now I'm just demanding all sorts of stuff. I'm so darn needy. ;)]
“Well that went horribly,” Autumn said hanging up the phone.
“How could it go horribly?” Jordan asked. “This is the police we are talking about. They’re supposed to help us out.”
“They took me seriously up until I told them my name,” Autumn replied sinking on the couch next to Louis. He tucked an arm around her. It seemed that for the time being her resistance to Louis didn’t exist.
“Your name?” Hope asked.
“Someone from the record company is friends with the head inspector of that station,” Autumn replied. “They warned him that I tend to create drama where there isn’t any. He thought I was joking.”
“Alexa is missing,” Niall said. “Why would they think you are joking? We have a note!”
“That I apparently made up,” Autumn groaned. “They actually had the balls to suggest that I stop harassing an innocent citizen who has served his time for his crimes.” Louis pulled her closer until her face rested against his chest. She breathed in his soothing scent.
“What about the time he attacked her at the group home?” Jericho asked. “That’s proof that he’s after her. He’s no innocent citizen.”
“Except she never reported it,” Liam said speaking for the first time. He had been staring out the living room window as Autumn had called the police. “As far as they know he served his time and deserved his release. He’s a reformed criminal in their eyes.”
“Then we have to go after him ourselves,” Louis said.
“What do you expect us to do Lou?” Harry asked. “Find his home and stake it out? Do you realize how risky that is?”
“I don’t care,” Liam said warming up to the idea. “This is Alexa. I have to get to her before he does something to her.”
“We’ll have to find his address,” Louis said. “It’s the only logical place to start.”
“I can call my dad!” Hope said happy to chip in. “He’s a lawyer for the local court system. He can look up the address that her dad has to register with the legal system upon his release.”
“You’re dad’s a lawyer?” Zayn asked.
“I never mentioned that?” Hope asked.
“Oddly enough,” Zayn replied. “No, you never mentioned it.”
“Which is why he was smart enough to run from my mother at the first chance he got,” Autumn said facing them all again. “Call him Hope.” Hope nodded and pulled out her cell phone placing the call.
“We need a plan once we have the address,” Liam said seriously.
“Here’s what I was thinking,” Louis said gathering them all closer.

Two hours later the girls found themselves in a bush next to a small ranch house on the edge of the countryside. Jordan tapped Autumn who was currently looking through the binoculars at the windows of the house.
“What?” Autumn hissed.
“I know this really isn’t the time or the place, but are you finally over your whole ‘stay away from Louis’ thing now?” Jordan asked. Autumn ignored her and went back to watching the windows.
