End of the day

Camden's POV

I walked out of hell starting my way to work.

It was pouring rain and I heard a car slow down behind me. I then heard a man say "Need a ride?"

I looked at him and said "No thank you I'll just walk." He then said "No please I insist." After what happened this morning I really didn't want to trust him but for some reason I did.

"Ok."

As I got closer to the vehicle I noticed who it was,

Mr. Mendes.

I opened the door to his jeep and sat in the passengers seat.

He looked at me "Hun, you're soaking wet. Here." He said as he reached into the back seat grabbing a burgundy sweatshirt that said "VANS" a crossed the front.

I took my soaking wet sweater off and put it in my book bag.

I looked over at Mr. Mendes and said "Thank you Mr. Mendes." He then nodded putting his car back into drive.

"So where too?" He asked.
"The dinner on Louis street." He nodded and said "So how was my lesson today? Answer honestly, please."

"It was great Mr. Mendes." He giggled and said "You're lying. Please don't."

"No I'm not lying, really it was great. I took good notes you spoke clearly and well."

He nodded and said "Thanks, hun." 

I smiled and said "Your welcome. And just so you know, I tell the truth and only the truth."

He pulled into the dinner and I started to take his sweatshirt off he then said "No please keep it." I smiled and exited the car.

Shawn's POV

I watched as Camden walked into the dinner. Why did she work here? What was her home life like?

As I was thinking I watched her go around the back of the counter and put her hair up then putting on an apron.

I hope she's ok.
