Camden's POV

We had arrived at Shawn's house and he took my bag inside. I sat on his couch that he had offered to me to sit on.

I was amazed by his home. I had never actually taken the time to look at the detail.

I sat on a large sectional leather couch. Shawn had taken my bag to his room and returned to the living room.

"Camden would you like anything to drink?"

"Um yes please."

"What would you like?"

"Water would be great. Thank you."

Shawn nodded and grabbed 2 water bottles, walking to the living room and handing me one.

He sat next to me and said "You really don't have to tell me if your not ready to. I'm serious."

"No Shawn I want to tell you."

He nodded.

"When I had woken up this morning my mum was still sleeping and she had a man with her. Which is usual. I had taken a shower and went back to the living room to get dressed because we live in a 1 bedroom apartment. I had gotten dressed and I could tell he was behind me. I turned around and my mum was also there. 'Lacey, I want your fucked up daughter out of this house or I'm selling her.' My mum looked at him with no expression on her face then she said 'Camden your not welcome here anymore. The last I'll see of you is when you get your things. After that I don't want to see you.' I didn't cry no matter how much I wanted to I just grabbed my bag and walked to work."

Shawn looked at me in shock and in sadness.

"I'm so sorry Camden."

"I'm fine."

"Do you want to get your things? I could just buy you new stuff if you'd like?"

"No I don't want you to spend your hard earned money on me. I'll do just fine with my things, thank you."

"I'm serious Camden I want to."

"I'm serious Shawn I don't need it."

"Ok, but if you change your mind the doors always open. Let's go shall we?"

"Sure."

He stood and reached his hand to me. I grabbed it and he didn't let go. He laced out fingers together and we walked back to his jeep.

I'm not ready to encounter my mum.
