Camden's POV

I missed first period and it was now second. I walked to my second period which was english.

I sat down in a random seat in the front and just waited for the lesson to start.

As the students arrived there were a couple of kids that looked at me shocked and others just laughed and said things like "Skinny bitch." Or "She didn't even fight back, what a bitch." Some just flat out called me a "Bitch."

The teacher told them to stop but that just provoked them to do it more.

A boy sat behind me and started telling me how I was small and how I could never fight back and how I was emotional. I just sat there and soaked it up like a sponge.

Everything he said was bouncing around in my head.

The teacher started the lesson and the boy sat back in his seat.

I just sat there in my seat traumatized by his words.

English finally ended and I was the first to leave class.

I ran to my locker switching my books then running to my next class.

History.

I walked in as the rest of the kids were leaving. I sat in the front and waited.

I looked at the teacher as he erased the board and re- wrote the subject.

In the left hand corner of the board it said "Mr. Mendes history." And in the middle of the board it said " WWII"

I got out my notebook flipping to the 5th or 6th page leaving the pages before it as a table of contents.

I took out a pencil from my bag and wrote "The WWII" at the very top. Then writing my name in the left hand corner.

The bell rang and the rest of the students started piling into the room. The same boy from earlier was in this class thank god some one else sat behind me.

Mr. Mendes then turned to face the class saying " Hello class, today we will learn about World War II." Everyone groaned in annoyance as I was actually excited.

I sat up in my seat as Mr. Mendes started talking.

"The First World War of 1914–1918 was the bloodiest conflict in Canadian history, taking the lives of nearly 61,000 Canadians. It erased romantic notions of war, introducing slaughter on a massive scale, and instilled a fear of foreign military involvement that would last until the Second World War."

I wrote down every word he said in my notes as he continued.
