Juliet opened her door when the persistent knocking wouldn't go away. Chloe wasn't fazed by her glaring though, her friend pushed right through her and entered the apartment, spinning around on her heels and placing her hands on her hips, giving Juliet a stern librarian glare.

"You can't change your mind the last second!" Chloe told her rather loudly.

"I can and I did." She hated how small her voice sounded, her confidence slowly fading when being in the presence of scary looking Chloe.

Juliet took in Chloe's appearance and had to smother a laugh, she knew her friend was not in the mood to be made fun of. It didn't go unnoticed by Chloe though. She narrowed her eyes and stepped forward causing Juliet to back off, afraid of what her friend might do. She didn't want to get smacked or pinched.

"Are you laughing at me right now?" Chloe asked her, her eyes daring her to speak up.

Juliet held her hands up in defense, "I'm not." She knew she sounded way too amused for Chloe to accept her white lie.

"This is not the time for your stupid jokes, Jules." Chloe pointed out.

Juliet folded her arms across her chest, "My jokes are not that bad."

"They are." Chloe didn't let her defend her sense of humor and continued, "I blew off my date with Tyler to smack you across the head." She stepped forward looking ready to attack so Juliet moved around her friend and quickly walked to the living room, creating some distance between her and her upset looking friend.

"I didn't ask you to do anything to Tyler." Juliet held her hands up again when Chloe's look got murderous, "I get it you're not in the mood right now, but I honestly feel like I shouldn't go. I mean I haven't even met the guys, I only know Dustin and we're not exactly friends. We're sort of friends but not really. I shouldn't join his group for drinks when they're celebrating. Things will just get awkward."

"He asked you to come and you accepted the offer. You can't change your mind the last second." Chloe repeated herself, Juliet was aware her friend only did that when she was really upset, "You said it yourself, it's a big opportunity. Don't screw it up because you want to sit in your PJ's all night and watch bad horror movies."

Juliet glanced down at her outfit, she wasn't wearing her PJ's yet, but Chloe wasn't wrong. When she texted her friend she was staying home rather than drinking with the guys Chloe got upset and more or less demanded of her fiancé to drive her to Juliet's apartment. She imagined Tyler wasn't too happy right now. She needed to apologize to the guy later.

"Chloe, I'm sure I'm not the only girl he invited to come over for drinks. It wouldn't make a difference if I showed up or not. I rather just stay at home tonight and watch my crappy horror movies and maybe some cheesy romantic comedies."

"What's wrong with just one drink? I'm not asking you to throw yourself onto Dustin, just go out and have some fun. Who knows maybe you can even make new friends." Chloe sighed, "I'm worried about you Jules, you don't like to connect with other people. I don't want you to feel left out when Tyler and I get married. Things are going to change and I need to know that you'll be okay even when I'm not there that often anymore."

Juliet sighed, "You're getting married Chloe, you're not moving to outer space."

"We're going to build on our future, Jules. I'd lie if I said things aren't going to change, because they are. We're going to move into a family house and eventually start a family. You'll say you'll be fine and pretend to be the cool aunt while I know after a while you'll feel left out. Not happy with the changes because I won't be only your Chloe anymore."
