Going through the party dresses at a rather fancy boutique Juliet trailed her eyes to Zachary who seemed engrossed in his phone. Dustin was visiting Braden's hometown, only a week had passed and it seemed that things were going fine. No crazy stories had popped up, so Juliet wasn't worried. She knew it was a different story for Zachary. He was always worried about his boys. She rather liked that trait of him. Smiling she focused back on searching for a nice dress to wear to Chloe's wedding which was coming up.
"You sure you can make it?" She asked, trying to distract him from worrying too much.
"I promised you I'd go, I'm not one to break a promise."
She knew that, when Zachary he cared he'd go through hell for that person. It also made her remember the challenge Zachary threw out there. If Dustin managed to change and go after her, would Zachary keep his end of the deal? It made her anxious knowing that Zachary was a man of his word.
"I know the band has a lot of events lined up the upcoming weeks-"
"I discussed it with Adam, he rearranged my schedule to make sure I could make it." Zachary approached her, one hand on the clothing rack while the other gently pressed up against her lower back, "Adam thinks this wedding date is an opportunity which I can't pass on."
She didn't need to ask what Adam's intentions were, she used to work for a teen magazine which used opportunities like this one to make a point. Rather it was a point the person in question was trying to make didn't matter, as long as it would sell.
"Are you sure you want that to happen?" She asked him, trying to make sure Zachary was on the same page as Adam.
Zachary didn't pull away from her even though she could feel a lot of eyes on them. His beanie wasn't doing anything to hide his identity. He was once again wearing clothes which had seen better days, yet people still recognized him. The thought made her mentally laugh, of course people would recognize him. He might have been dressed as a bum, his face was still the same. He was still the handsome guitarist of a famous rock band which had been in the spotlights for the last couple of weeks. Her cheeks heated as her mind wondered to the pictures of them together. People were now also aware of her. She didn't get recognized often, but sometimes she received looks. They were trying to place her, but they couldn't quite figure it out. She knew that things would change once they were going officially public with their relationship.
"I'm sure about us." Zachary leaned in, his lips brushing against her cheek, "How about you?"
She turned her body toward him, tilting her head back to meet his gaze, "I'm sure about us as well." She reassured him, "But after we go public there is no turning back."
Zachary chuckled, "Good, I'm getting tired of those rumors about us."
She pressed a hand against his chest and pushed him away from her, trying to create more distance between them, "Then stop being so close to me whenever we go out. You're the one causing people to gossip and taking snap shots of us."
"I'm not going to stop being affectionate to my girl, let them talk." He grabbed her hand when she was reaching out to a dress which caught her eyes and kissed her pulse, "Unlike Dustin I'm not caught up in some weird love affair."
The soft kiss to her wrist made her whole body tremble. She was still sore between the thighs because of Zachary and his affection which he apparently needed to display to her. Pulling her hand away from him she glanced back at the dress, taking it off the rack and showing it to Zachary.
"How about this one?"
Zachary scanned the dress, his eyes darkening, "Are you matching your dress to my tie?"
