Juliet sat in the back of a car together with Zachary, heading to a rented house in LA where the band would stay while they recorded songs at the studio. Juliet hadn't called Dustin back yet, which she knew was not right of her. She had been in a wedding daze though. Chloe's wedding had been like a fairytale coming true. Her friend looked beautiful and the ceremony actually made her cry. Chloe and Tyler deserved each other, the couple had looked so happy together.
Even though the ceremony had been beautiful, almost dreamlike, the reception had been completely the opposite. It was bright colored and crazy, they had a great time. The wedding had been a week ago and Chloe was now on her honeymoon. Two weeks in Greece, Chloe would come back looking all tan and glamorous.
Juliet scrolled through Chloe's photos on her Social Media, a big grin spreading across her face as she was reminded of that crazy wedding weekend. Chloe had been posting photos of the wedding and honeymoon nonstop. The pictures of her together with Zachary looked beautiful too. Some of the comments underneath it ruined it though. Not everyone was happy for the couple, but Zachary told her not to mind it. He stated not so nicely that he didn't give a fuck what people thought of them being together. She leaned into Zachary's side and showed him one of the pictures."This one looks great, right?"
Zachary took the picture in of them together. She was snuggled into his side while her head was titled back, looking with a smile spread across her face at her boyfriend. Zachary's head was slightly turned to the side while he looked down, a smile also spread across his face. His smile was subtle but not less intense. His blue eyes sparkling. They looked utterly happy, living in their own little bubble.
"Yeah." Zachary took her phone from her and tapped around, sending the picture to his own phone, "I like it a lot."
She smirked, "I can tell."
He handed her phone back to her, "I'll send it to my mom, she has been nagging more than usual."
Juliet tossed her phone in her bag and shifted her attention to the scenery outside. The weather was nice here, but it wasn't doing her hair any good. She had tied it up in a bun on top of her head, getting it out of her face. Today she was wearing 'I don't give a fuck' clothes like Zachary did whenever they went outside. A plain white tee with a bright colored turquoise bra underneath it and a pair of shorts, the pockets showing as well. She had tied one of Zachary's flannels around her waist. It wasn't her usual style, but she quite liked it.
"I think with everything going on right now she has a right to complain." She glanced back at her boyfriend, "I mean, there are pictures of us everywhere, yet she hasn't officially met me yet."
"I know that." Zachary sighed, "But I can't drop everything and take the first plane back home. She knows that too, but this time she's being unreasonable."
Juliet smiled, reaching for Zachary's hand and lacing their fingers together, "Cut her some slack."
Zachary tightened his grip on her hand, "Talked to Dustin yet?"
"I didn't have the time to call him back yet, but we can talk in person now."
Zachary nodded, "True." He pulled his hand away and glanced out the window, but unlike her it didn't look like he enjoyed the view that much, "Adam told me Dustin's new song is emotional, different but in a good way. He also told me not to take it by heart."
Juliet didn't dare to ask Zachary what it was about, she was smart enough to figure it out. Adam wouldn't warn Zachary beforehand without a good reason. The knot in Juliet's stomach tightened, inhaling deeply she tried to calm down. Maybe it hadn't been such a good idea to tag along with her boyfriend.

Juliet put on her big shades, covering most of her face and let Zachary lead the way. The staff was taking care of their luggage, so they had nothing to worry about. Adam rented the band a house, they were all staying in it together. The house was bright white, modern looking with lots of glass. Zachary mentioned a pool so Juliet figured instead of hanging out in the studio with the band she'd spend all her free time at the pool, trying to get a tan while getting some work done. As they stepped inside the gigantic house, they were greeted with the sound of cheerful voices. She heard Max's laugh followed by Dustin cursing colorfully.
