The team met with Hewitt and now we are seeing Jax. "I'm really glad you decided to come." Barry said appreciating his efforts to come here. "I thought S.T.A.R. Labs had to shut down." Jax stated. "It's under new management." I cover up. "Huh. Whoa, what kind of treadmill is that?" He asked fascinated. "Cosmic." Cisco replied. Jax laughed softly "Cool. So, let's get started. You got some kind of "Billion Dollar Man" technology that gonna fix my knee?" He asked thinking we were going to help his knee. "Actually, Jax, this isn't about fixing your knee." Barry told him. "What are you talking about?" He questioned. "When the Particle Accelerator exploded, the energy wave that collided with you is known as "dark matter." Stein started. "And it didn't just hurt your knee. It--it changed the molecular structure of your body." Caitlin revealed to him. "Whoa, hold on, Grey. So you're saying I'm like one of those meta-humans I keep hearing about on the news?" Jax questioned. "Yes, I am. Please, call me Professor." Stein replied. Grey sounds cool though. "We think you have potential capabilities." I said. "What kind of capabilities?" He asked. "The same as Professor Stein: the ability for your body to process fission and fusion." I told him. "And you can harness excess energy and turn it into these massive nuclear blasts. And you can fly. There's also that." Cisco told him. "So you're saying you can do all this?" He asked Stein. "Only during times of convergence with a willing partner." Stein told him. "Convergence?" Jax asked again. This guy asks a lot of questions. "You and me?" He carries on asking. "Yes." Stein confirmed. Jax laughed "No, this is crazy." "No, Jax, this is your chance to right the wrong that was done to you." Barry said trying to convince him. "Yeah, sorry, you got the wrong guy. I don't want anything to do with this." Jax said making up his decision. "Wait a second, we are giving you the chance to be a superhero, and you're gonna say no that quickly?" Caitlin asked not understanding his decision. "Yeah, not my kind of thing." Jax replied. "If the man isn't willing to participate--" Stein started. Caitlin cut him off half yelling at Jax "Look, I saw your test scores, Jax. Your grades were good enough to get into college, but you didn't go. Why? Is this the type of guy you are? One setback and you fold? Well, then maybe you're not the guy for us anyway." "Well, maybe I'm not." Jax said annoyed now. He left. "Jack--" Barry said trying to stop him. "Maybe this just wasn't meant to be." Stein said struggling to walk away. "Cait, come on, I mean, Jax could be our last chance at saving Professor Stein." I said to her. What is she thinking he has a single mother parenting him maybe and most likely they couldn't afford for Jax to go to college. "He said no to being a superhero. Who does that? I mean, you didn't say no when you had the chance. Cisco, would you?" Caitlin asked annoyed at Jax's decision. "A chance to have superpowers? Sign me up." Cisco replied nervously. Suspicious Cisco very suspicious. "Look, we're asking Jax to change his entire life, to sacrifice what he does have. I mean, that's not a decision that can be made lightly. It took me and Barry a long time to figure out this whole hero thing." I told her calmly. "Exactly, which is why we need someone who wants to do this." She said getting her purse "Where are you going?" Barry asked. "To get Hewitt back. We have to try again." She said leaving.

"What's being described as a "spontaneous energy malfunction" erupted last night at Eikmeier Technologies. Wanted for questioning is scientist Henry Hewitt." The news reporter said over the Tv. "Hewitt's dormant abilities must have been triggered when we attempted the merger." Caitlin stated. "This could be catastrophic. If his powers are anything like mine, he requires a grounding mechanism to stabilize his volatility. Otherwise--" Stein was cut off by Cisco "Yeah, he's gonna pop his top, and he's got a long history of violence, according to his police record." "Police record?" Barry questioned. "I didn't find a police record." Caitlin said. "Yeah, of course not, it was sealed, but guess what, ya boy hacked in and-- hold on, wait for it. One count battery, two counts aggravated assault, court-ordered anger management therapy." He said getting up his record "He seemed like such a nice guy. He even knew your Hudson nerd song." She said to Stein. Stein started gasping in pain he was losing balance. "Whoa, you okay?" I asked helping Stein. "It appears Mr. Hewitt's stability isn't the only one in question. I think I need to lie down." Stein said. "Yeah, I'll come with you. Thank you." Cisco said leaving. I got a text from Granny. How did she get passed Joe's security walls on my phone. "I've got to go I'm meeting someone." I said leaving. Granny said she was in central City And wanted to meet me soon.
