Barry's running on the treadmill and there's some lighting but not a lot. He stops and He's now breathing heavily. "Keep that chin down, slugger." A familiar voice says. We turn our heads and standing there is Dad! "Dad." We both says in shock going to hug him. I see Iris and give her a thankful smile.
Dad is checking Barry for anything wrong with his back. "No spinal cord edema. I don't see any subacute hemorrhaging. Bone fused beautifully. You're all good, Barry. I'd give you some physical therapy, but you don't need it." Dad reports. Him and Barry chuckle a little and I don't say a word my eyes on the floor. I'm really not in the mood to laugh. "We're really glad you're here, Dad." Barry tells him with a small smile. "Me too. You know, I tried to call, but you can't a cell in Granite Peak National Park, so..." dad starts. "Granite Peak... what are you... You went camping by yourself?" I question. "Yeah, yeah, I got a tent. I went fishing every day. I have had my fill of largemouth bass for a while." Dad chuckles making him chuckle. "Sometimes you just have to slow down to get back to where you want to be." Dad gives us advice. "Yeah. Look, Dad..." Barry starts. He's cut of by Cisco who comes in
"Hey, guys. I think we've found them." "Yeah?" I ask as relief washes over me. We walk over to the computers where he's showing us three locations. "Grodd has to be in one of these three bell towers. The only reason we couldn't find him on any cameras underneath the city before i cause he upgraded from a bachelor pad to a penthouse, like a baller." Cisco states. "Okay, so we know where he is. We still don't know how to get her." Barry says. "We got a plan for you." Cisco tells us. "What's the plan?" I question curiously. "We use me." Harry says from behind us. We look at him and he's in reverse Flash's suit. Barry quickly pins him up against a wall. Harry grunts. "That's Harry! That's the other Wells!" Cisco shouts running over to them. I'm not going to intervene I'm enjoying this. Well as much as I can. "Barry." Harry breathes out. "Let him go. Let him go." Cisco says trying to convince Barry to let go of Harry. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Barry quickly let's go apologising. Harry takes of the mask. "We found another suit in the Time Vault." Cisco fills us in. "I thought he was dead." Dad says with a bit of hatred in his voice. "He's dead. This is... this is Harrison Wells from Earth-2." Barry tells him. "Earth-2?" Dad questions. "I'll explain later." I tell him. I'm not going to explain it. "If we can get Harry to convince Grodd that he's Wells, that he's his father, maybe we can convince him to let Caitlin go." Cisco lets us in on the plan. "I'm not gonna be able to help if anything goes wrong." Barry warns Harry. "That's a chance I'm willing to take." Harry replies determined.
"Yo. Yeah, we're moving on to the third location." Cisco reports through the comm. Him and Harry are on the last location that Grodd could be at. "Copy that." Barry says back. "Now we wait." Barry says to dad. "So this is what it's like every time you go after one of those meta-humans?" Dad asks. "Uh, pretty much. Only, Cisco and Caitlin are normally the ones in here and we're the one out there." Barry notifies him. "Well, there's no reason you shouldn't be. And there's definitely no reason you shouldn't be." Dad says the last part looking at me. "Iris showed me what happened. With Zoom? That was hard to watch. I can only imagine what that must have been like for you." Dad continues. "He showed everyone in Central City that their hero wasn't good enough to stop him." Barry murmured. "Well, that's certainly what it looked like. Was he right?" Dad asks. Barry scoffs. "Your body's healed, Barry, and yet here you are, feeling the shame of losing." Dad points out. "I can't stop him. I know it. He knows it. And now everyone in this city knows it too. They don't believe in me anymore, Dad." Barry states saddened. "And they never really believed in me and now the whole city probably hates me because I wasn't there to stop Zoom. It's all my fault and everyone knows it." I mutter but it's loud enough for them to hear. "Bethany I told you it's not your fault." Barry says seriously. "But it is." I state back. "Listen kids. At my trial for your mother's death, a lot of our family and friends were in the courtroom. They heard awful things about what I had done to your mother. It didn't matter that it wasn't true. Every day, I could see it on their faces, the moment when I lost them, until everybody had stopped believing in me. Well, that was my reality. You know, I was gonna serve a life sentence for a crime I didn't commit, but worse than that, every time I looked at someone in the eye from that moment forward, they were gonna believe that I had killed the woman I loved in front of our son and our 6 week old daughter. So yeah, I do know what it's like being destroyed." Dad says holding back tears. "How did you get past that?" Barry questions. "I embraced it. Accepting it was the only way that I could move forward, but I know that if I could survive that, and learn to believe in myself again, then I could survive anything. You know what lit that belief in me, You. 11-year-old you, running around, believing in me, gave me that hope. And the fact that my baby girl who couldn't even talk or walk yet still believed in me. And now I'm giving it back to you, kids. No more monsters can take that from us." Dad reveals hugging us. If only he knew that his happy loving baby girl is gone...
"Hey, buddy." Harry says at the location where Grodd is. We are listening to everything. Grodd growls. "Easy, buddy. It's me. I'm back." Harry says trying to be convincing. "Father, you died." Grodd says. "No. No, buddy, I didn't die. I just went away for a while." He says in the same way the old Wells would. "All right, that's great, Wells, keep talking." Barry tells him over the comm. "But now that I'm back, we don't need Caitlin anymore, do we, buddy? So you can let her go." Harry says to him. Grodd growls again. "Come on, buddy. Let me get her out of here. Please." Harry asks. "Father never ask. Father take." Grodd says infuriated. "Run." I hear Caitlin say.?Grodd roars "Who are you?" "Cisco, you gotta get in there, man." Barry tell Cisco over the comm. "Oh, Cisco, thank God." We hear Caitlin say in relief. "Okay, you guys gotta get out of there." Barry says urgently. "Harry's trapped. We can't leave him here. What do we do?" Cisco asks in panic. An idea struck me "The drugs. The drugs that Grodd stole. Wells... an overdose of those drugs will shock his brain. Okay, just hit him with as much as you can." "You are not him! You are not Father!" Grodd roars. "I am father." Harry replies convincingly. Grodd growls. "And you hit father. Grodd. Look at me. Look at me!" Harry yells. Grodd roars again. "I would never leave you here alone. Grodd, I made you a promise. I have bigger plans for you. Remember? One day, this city will be yours. I promised you. I intend to honor that promise." Harry says putting the syringe in him overdoing him. Grodd growls and roars in pain as we hear him hit the floor. I can't help but feel bad for Grodd he doesn't deserve to be what he is now he should have been a happy gorilla. "Go!" Harry yells at Cisco and Caitlin.
"Thank you." Harry says as Caitlin patches him up. "Thank you for rescuing me." Caitlin smiles. "Well, we're a team, right?" Harry smiles back. "I'm impressed. I think we all are.." Barry comments. "Yeah, well, we need to do something about Grodd." Joe tells us. "Like what?" I question. "Like get rid of him for good." Joe replies. "You want to kill him?" Caitlin asks not wanting that to happen neither do I. "Considering how many people he's killed, yeah." Joe replies. "This isn't Grodd's fault. He's only like this because Wells made him this way." Caitlin defends him. "Yes, but, Cait, he kidnapped you and you could have died." Barry points out. "You didn't see what I saw. Grodd's getting smarter. He's lonely and sad. He wan more apes like him." Caitlin argues. "What are you saying? He wants kids? 'Cause I'm pretty sure one telepathic Grape Ape is more than enough for this city." Chase points out. I know he's finally here. "I know somewhere we could send him." Harry speaks up. "What are you talking about?" I ask. "When the singularity exploded and I discovered the breach in S.T.A.R. Labs, I ran similar tests and discovered the same thing, 51 additional breaches. The difference being the breaches in Central City are scattered all throughout the city whereas counterparts in my world most definitely are not." Harry reports as we all go over the the computers. "And you know where they lead?" Chase questions. "Well, I was in the process of figuring all that out when Dr. Snow so gallantly convinced me to stay, but if I am correct, this breach is gonna get Grodd as close to home as he's ever likely to get." Harry said putting the location on the wall monitor. "Okay, even if you're right, how do we bait Grodd to go through it?" Joe questions. "My kids will do it. Won't you, Flash and Streak.
