Chapter 20: One dart, two aims.

No! I cannot do this. I pulled the pillow on my head and wailed. Why in the whole world was I paired with these two jerks? The universe was working against me! I am sure of it. I even tried going to the teacher to change my team but she gave me her cold stare that made me winced. She was pretty intimidating when she wanted to be. Now, the two jerks were coming to my place to rehearse. Hunter was delighted as he was going to get a chance to speak. I had been avoiding him all day and now, all my avoiding goes in the trash bin. Dylan, well, let us say our feelings against each other are mutual. We are not on talking bases currently so Heaven knows how we are going to rehearse.

"Coming." I muttered to myself as I got off the bed to get the door. Rebecca wasn't home as she had a date with Jake. She was going crazy the whole day for this date. Looks like Rebecca finally got her man and I couldn't be happier for her.

"Hey." Hunter greeted me as he entered the house.

"Hey." I said without any enthusiasm.

"Emily, we need to talk." He said, taking a step closer.

"We have talked enough Hunter. I do not need to or want to talk to you." I brought my hand forward, hinting him to stop moving and took a step back.

"Emily I-"

"Sorry I'm late." Dylan entered with this 'hot & cold' aura. Wait, is he talking to me again? Well, I am not.

"Whatever." I muttered as I moved towards the couch. I decided to speak to Dylan only when necessary and not at all to Hunter.

"Ok so...How do we start?"Hunter asked us. Three of us were now sitting on the couch for the stupid act.

"How about the end?" Dylan asked, sarcasm dripping from his voice. Hey, where this sudden hostility come from? Earlier he was this 'I-am-never-angry' guy. Then I realized something about him. He was moody. Weird I never noticed it before.

"Actually that is a good idea." I say, trying to lighten the mood between the two guys who were glaring at each other. Well, I guess I need to subside my anger for a while.

"How about we decide the scene? Which one should we take?" I said, trying to break the ice.

"The scene where Orlando sees Rosalind for the first time?" Hunter asks, raising his eyebrow.

"I think it's good. Right Dylan?" I try to include Dylan in it too. The atmosphere was tense, electric. You never know when lightning would strike and light fire.

"How about the one where this Orlando guy fights?" Dylan asks but the hostility is pretty much evident in his voice. I get a feeling that we are still talking about the fight but not between Shakespeare's characters anymore.

"You want an enactment here Castle?" Hunter got up.

"Sure Dare. I guess we all know who'll win." Dylan snarled.

"Let's see." Hunter growled and took a step towards Dylan.

"Hey no fights please." I stood up too.

"Guys, please. I don't want fights in my house." I say again when neither of them show any change.

"Hunter please." I plead. He looks at me and I whisper, "Please."

He nods and sits down.

"Ok...So where were we?" Hunter asked us, well me actually. He ignored Dylan, which was a good thing. When this rehearsal was over, I will no longer be talking to anyone of them.

"Uh...Act four scene two?" I suggest from the book.

"That's the scene where Orlando proposes Rosalind, right?" Dylan asks and I just stare at him.
